Although it's deep in the countryside of rural Herefordshire, Woodside Country Park is well-placed for all sorts of activities. It's just a 10-minute drive from Ledbury and the outskirts of the Malvern Hills National Landscape, and nice and close to the M50 for trips further afield. There's lots of country-themed stuff to do on site and all around too: this family-run park has coarse fishing and wild swimming on site, gentle walks, wildlife spotting and birdwatching – and all in 28 acres of prettily landscaped grounds and a conservation area designed to encourage wildflowers and wildlife. A fairy door trail leads around the park, a favourite for the kids. On top of that, there's a lovely lakeside woodfired sauna available for private hire or public sessions. Take a 15-minute walk along the Herefordshire Trail to reach a nearby winery and vineyard with over 750 years of history, where there are guided tours and tastings and the choice to do a self-guided tour. Guest facilities at Woodside Country Park include three shower and toilet blocks (including an accessible toilet and shower room in one field), washing-up facilities and a launderette.

Gostou Nothing not to like here. Welcoming, friendly and really helpful and supportive reception / shop staff. Clean amenities and simplistic / non-commercialised feel across the site.
It feels like a lot of work has gone into maintaining the natural elements of this site, leaving us to enjoy the lakes, the walks and the family friendly atmosphere. We don't often revisit sites as we like to explore new places, but we will definitely come back here. The pod was so much easier than using our tent and swimming in the lake was wondeful.
Think we've been spoilt now.
The pizzas were a nice addition too.

Não gostou If I hadn't have read reviews previously, and seen visitors pictures I might have been mislead by how close the pods are to eachother. But, actually, it wasn't a problem, even with sweary neighbours, we managed to relax in our own space.

Gostou Staff are friendly, with a well laid out site, easy access to facilities and a great level of cleanliness.

We were met by Helen on our arrival who couldn't have been more helpful with getting us set up. The shop was useful for snacks and drinks. Washing up and showers were nearby and the site was well kept.

Não gostou My only area I would say that needs improvement would be the showers; they're not thermostatic, meaning a flush of the loo by another camper and the water temperature soars to scorching! A simple upgrade would fix this and make this an 11 out of 10 site 😁

Gostou Have just arrived home after our first ever camping trip with our two young kids and dog. I think, as our first ever campsite, that we've been spoilt!

We all loved the swimming lake and the girls enjoyed the play area. The site in general was really well kept, felt safe for the kids to run around in and was nice and clean. The nature reserve area was lovely for a wonder around.

The nearby town, Ledbury, was beautiful and had some lovely places to eat and we enjoyed the fresh pizza on Friday night (tip: it took a long time for the pizzas to be cooked so order early).

Não gostou The only thing I wish was better would be a shop with a few more things in and another option for food on the Saturday? Other than that we can't fault it.

Park View casa dormitório

Gostou We loved staying in the Bunkhouse, very comfortable and clean. The grounds were well cared for, the conservation area was great for our dog. The lake was very safe and our grandkids loved it. Friendly helpful staff.

Não gostou Nothing to dislike. I did think the Pods, our son had one, were very close together.

Gostou The wild swimming lake was fabulous, particularly over the hot may half term. Best in the morning or at dusk when it was quieter. Well maintained site, Shower and toilet block was modern and clean across the stay (an achievement on a popular family campsite). Everyone stuck to the quiet hours even though it was buzzing which was great.

Não gostou We timed showers badly so zero water pressure to shower when everyone was washing up after dinner! A small niggle and lesson learnt :-)

Do gerente: Thanks for your comments - pleased you enjoyed the lake etc - sorry about the water pressure - off to check it out - the neighbouring fruit farm does have an impact too on our water pressure!!! We do see fluctuations - also off to speak to Welsh Water!!!

Gostou Loved the place will definitely be back. It is the most beautiful place, loads of room between pitches. Toilets and showers really clean. The ladies in reception are friendly and welcoming. Loved the swimming lake and the conservation area is lovely for a walk.

Gostou Lovely lakes for fishing and swimming. Beautiful countryside close to Ledbury. Lots of wildlife to see and hear. The owners are so nice and helpful. Easy access to the site and the facilities are good. We will definitely return.

Nearby Ledbury is a lovely little market town famed for its cobbled streets and black and white timber-framed buildings: look out for and take a snap of the Market House in the town centre. The town is at almost equal distance from the cathedral towns or 'Three Counties' of Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester and a day should surely be had at each: Gloucester for its Harry Potter-scened cathedral and many museums; Hereford for the Old House, Hereford Cider Museum and Hereford Cathedral's Mappa Mundi; and Worcester for its library The Hive and the Three Choirs Festival (Worcester Cathedral by night is a spectacular sight too).
