Up at the top end of the Isle of Anglesey is generally a great place to take a peaceful holiday – but it gets even better when there’s a local pub a mere 50 yards away. And that’s the situation you’ll find yourself in when you stay at Cae Ffynnon, part of a working farm about five minutes’ drive inland from Amlwch. Pitches at this small family-run site are well maintained and well located, within easy reach of walking trails, bike paths, beaches, boat trips and the port at Holyhead (about half an hour’s drive away for those boarding a ferry to Ireland). And of course there’s that village pub a short walk away for a good feed and a welcome pint after your day out. You’ll have plenty of space to spread out on your pitch when you’re staying here, and you’ll be provided with some handy amenities including an electric hookup and picnic bench for each pitch. Shared facilities include toilets, showers and a washing-up area and you’re welcome to bring dogs and kids along for a stay here. Being so close to Amlwch means that you’ll have easy enough access to shops and places to eat (and the beach…) despite your peaceful immediate surroundings.

Polubione We stayed here for a week and had a lovely time. It’s a beautiful rural campsite with a real countryside feel. We loved seeing the goats, chickens and horses , which made it feel even more peaceful and relaxing.

The owner, Len, was absolutely lovely and nothing was ever too much trouble. He made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

The pitches were a brilliant size with plenty of space, and the facilities were very well looked after. The toilets and showers were always kept very clean.

We really enjoyed our week here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly countryside camping experience. We would happily stay again!

Len (host) went above and beyond for my partner whose tyre blew out on the way. He organised for a tyre fitter to come to the site and repair the tyre. We can’t thank him enough for his kindness.

Polubione Just on our way home from a lovely weekend at cae fynnon. Stayed with an 8, 6 and 1 year old. Was bit nervous after reading the reviews but I didn’t need to be! This was the cheapest capacity on pitch up, the pitch we had was huge enough for caravan awning picni bench and the car!


Len the owner couldn’t do enough for us! He was helpful knowledgable about the area and things we wanted to no! Ken was even lovely with the kids telling them about the horses names etc, Toilets and showers were great, clean daily and hot water and well supplied. Picnic benches are an added bonus! The site is so peaceful, safe and small enough for children to go and play safely, the chickens roaming round were lovely and so friendly, the horses and goats in the field next to it were lovely to stroke. Everyone was so friendly! We will definitely be back! A quiet area, a pub outside the gates and then a. Few mins drive into the villages for shops etc.

Ignore the bad reviews. Read the description properly and you will not be disappointed, great basic base to explore Anglesey, thanks len, see you soon!

Polubione Quiet location within driving distance of some fantastic village's and bay.
Owner of the site was friendly and helpful.
Although we didn’t have children ourselves there was a good family feel to the site with young children and families enjoying quality time together.
Would highly recommend this small site.
We had a wonderful short break and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Polubione We had a hardstanding pitch with electric. Loved the size of the pitch, enough room with grass to have an awning. Peaceful and owner Len is friendly and helpful.

Polubione Great site. The owner was really friendly, even managed to shuffle things round so we could stay an extra night. Perfect for a week away with the kids. Close to Cemaes for the beach, and local shops at Amlwch. Would definitely use again.

Niepolubione A really minor problem, and shouldn’t need it anyway. I just wanted to mention for advice more than anything. however the WiFi is only available for some of the site, once you get into the middle its gone

Lokalne atrakcje

A trip to Anglesey is usually all about the outdoor activities, and you’ll be well placed for those with a stay here. A drive of a little over five minutes will get you to a fishing spot at Llyn Alaw or a challenging but scenic round at Bull Bay Golf Club. Boats also head out from Amlwch harbour (five minutes’ drive) for sea fishing or just a bit of coastal sightseeing. There’s plenty of sightseeing to do on land too, whether you head out on the Anglesey Coast Path or aim for Parys Mountain (10 minutes’ drive) for a fabulous stroll through the colourful landscapes left behind by an ancient copper mine. The Copper Kingdom Centre (five minutes) will give you further insight into this aspect of the island’s past. And what about when you’d just like to sit on the beach, thanks very much? There’s a small stretch of sand at Amlwch, but you’d be better off heading to Lligwy (15 minutes), Church Bay (20 minutes) or Benllech (20 minutes) if you’re planning to spend a whole day swimming and sandcastle building.
