Why spend a fortune heading abroad for that much-needed beach break this summer? Recent figures from Barclays* imply that the money spent on ‘staycations’ is set to increase by 25% over the next four years – suggesting that more people than ever will discover the best of Britain. Boasting stunning views of the Tay Estuary, the family-run site of Tayview offers fantastic camping and glamping options and brilliant facilities in an area which can offer up over 400 more hours of sunshine per annum than any other part of the country. Guests can make the most of the glorious sunshine at one of the many surrounding beaches which are ideal for a spot of windsurfing. The town of Monifieth with its shops and restaurants is just a five-minute walk away; alternatively, take a bus straight to Dundee to experience its fantastic shopping opportunities and activities for all ages. Guests can visit the on-site diner serving delicious home-cooked food, which is also available to take away, so glampers can eat whilst looking out across the estuary.

The glamping cabins feature two double sofa beds, a wardrobe, tables and chairs. Picnic benches are provided for outdoor dining. There is access to a fully-equipped communal kitchen and the toilet blocks are close by.
