  • Log burner inside and firepit outside

Camping at its best: cosy, comfortable, effortless, and just a mile and a half from the beach. Cutlery, crockery and bedding are all supplied leaving you with nothing to bring except clothes, a towel and yourself.

The sumptuous and colourful interiors at Gwaun View Yurts give you the feeling that you could be in Mongolia, with the extra comfort of electricity, memory foam mattresses and a well-equipped log kitchen. A firepit outside and log burner inside, with a plentiful supply of logs included, will keep you toasty and warm.

Gwaun View Yurts is under a mile from Fishguard, with pubs, shops, restaurants and the beach, connected by a cycle path (for most of the way). The spacious site means you can park right outside your yurt and you'll be far enough away from any neighbours.

Wonderful holiday in a beautiful Yurt 15/08/2016

We arrived late in the rain to be met by the owner, the log burner lit and a bottle of wine and box of chocolates on the bed! The Yurt was clean and the owner popped by every day to see if everything was alright. The kitchen had everything needed. The showers were lovely and warm and the bathrooms clean. Overall a very enjoyable break.

    Disliked:

There was no lid for the pans and the glasses were all plastic and very small. Also, there was only the exact number of cutlery and crockery to the number of occupants which was annoying.

The yurt was brilliant clean and well stocked. A lovely quiet site with easy access to Fisguard. The staff were friendly and very helpful

    Disliked:

The shower and toilet block need upgrading. The grass was recently cut but not collected up so the grass walked every where the Yurt and the toilet block etc making quite a mess. The hedges around our Yurt was quite overgrown. The site just needs some TLC.

We booked a three night stay in a Mongolian Yurt at Gwaun View. We are both very experienced travellers & campers and cannot fault the service received from Richard, Tom and the very kind lady whose name I didn't get.
On the day before our arrival it was great to get a courtesy call from Richard to confirm our arrival time and that he would hopfully be on site to greet us.
We were late arriving so rang Richard, on the way,who kindly told us which Yurt would be ours and that Tom would be on site.
When we got there we were amazed!! The Yurts are Beautiful! And to find a bottle of wine & box of chocolates, on the pillow, greeting us was just the icing on the cake. Thanks Richard.
Everyone was so helpful during our stay - we had all the privacy needed, but reassured to know that if we needed anything, Tom was on site & on hand.
The amount of firewood supplied free was a bonus & we had the log burner lit all night every night which was s cosy.
Can't fault the kitchen & campfire area, with a grill already for proper camp BBQ cooking.
Also no shortage of hot water and the showers always hot.
We will definitley go to Gwaun View again. We were gutted we only booked three nights!! We didnt want to leave, could have happily done a week.

    Disliked:

Did not dislike anything. The only thing we could suggest would be a fireplace shovel & brush so we could clean out the log burner. Also maybe a recycling bin(s) for bottles & plastics.

Enjoyed a night in the yurts on the 11th June. It was clean and comfortable with a great kitchen and fire area. It's a dog friendly site with a large area to run. There was plenty of firewood. Excellent value for money would definitely recommend to others.

Beautiful yurts set in peaceful location 22/05/2016

Everything about our two night stay at Gwaun View left us wanting to go home and book our next stay. The Yurt itself was beautiful as a group of two adults and 3 children we worried space may be limited but when we walked in we were pleasantly surprised. The Yurt was decorated lovely and it felt really cosy. A lovely touch was that Richard the owner met us on arrival and had the log burner in the Yurt already lit so it was lovely and warm for us on what was a cold damp first night. Another lovely touch was the chocolates and wine on arrival. Richard continued to be helpful for the whole stay popping over each day to make sure we were ok for everything and offering help where needed...this was a lovely touch. The kitchen was kitted with all we needed to make our stay comfortable and the toilet and shower block was clean and tidy. The whole set up of the yurt, kitchen area and then fire pit area worked so well. Loved sitting out of an evening around the fire watching the children play on the large grassed area. Overall we can't fault our stay here and we can't wait to return.

    Disliked:

Only complaint was that we were unable to lock the yurt door from the inside at night. We arrived on a night of heavy rain and wind so having the door continue to blow open all night was a little annoying.
