  • Log burner inside and firepit outside

Camping at its best: cosy, comfortable, effortless, and just a mile and a half from the beach. Cutlery, crockery and bedding are all supplied leaving you with nothing to bring except clothes, a towel and yourself.

The sumptuous and colourful interiors at Gwaun View Yurts give you the feeling that you could be in Mongolia, with the extra comfort of electricity, memory foam mattresses and a well-equipped log kitchen. A firepit outside and log burner inside, with a plentiful supply of logs included, will keep you toasty and warm.

Gwaun View Yurts is under a mile from Fishguard, with pubs, shops, restaurants and the beach, connected by a cycle path (for most of the way). The spacious site means you can park right outside your yurt and you'll be far enough away from any neighbours.

We were in the yurt. Was brilliant. Really comfy. Log fire in the yurt was essential in the evenings. Log kitchen was brilliant -pretty and well stocked. Owners were really helpful and came by every day to see that we were ok. Had a lovely welcome gift of marshmallows and toffee waffle biscuits. Site was clean and toilets were clean. Dog friendly and lots of space for kids to play. Campfire space really lovely for helping kids to learn about toasting marshmallows.
    Lovely area and very peaceful

    Disliked:

Showers could do with updating but were functional. Think the new owners are aware of this and have lots of plans. Water in shower slowed to a drip when washing up area tap was run but even so we managed to wash two children

From the manager...

Thanks for the lovely feedback, glad you enjoyed your stay at TregroesPark. Apologies for the water issue (unfortunately caused by an external contractor but soon to be replaced) Please visit again some time, we look forward to seeing you.
Thanks again,
Colin & Sam.

Everything! Lovely, cosy yurt which suited our needs as a family of 3 perfectly. Plenty of space for luggage and room to play for the little one if it had rained. The wood burner was lovely and the yurt retained the heat from this all through the night. Loved having seating choice for rain or shine and the kitchen was perfect for making traditional camp meals with some additional extras! The area itself was just beautiful and so much choice of things to see and places to visit.
The toilet & shower facilities were kept very clean and were much better than where we have stayed previously.
Lots of lovely little touches such as the welcome package of sweet treats, personalised welcome sign and letter and the lovely decor and fairy lights.
The owners were lovely. Very friendly without being intrusive and made a point of saying hello every day and ensuring all was well. Thank you Sam & Colin for a lovely, relaxing stay.

    Disliked:

Nothing I disliked and not a bad word to say! A previous reviewer mentioned the idea of hooks on the yurt poles for coats etc & I had said to my husband at the time that this would have been handy (we got drenched at Pembroke Castle one day!) If I was being super fussy it would have been good to have a seat with a back outside but this is purely on a personal level as I have a health condition which means I ache so sitting upright can be difficult - this is ridiculously fussy though and I could have carried out a kitchen chair or taken our own as we would have done if camping in a tent rather than glamping in the comfort of a yurt!

From the manager...

Really glad that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your kind words, we love the place too. We will have your seat ready for your next visit :)
Many thanks again, Colin & Sam.

Great stay, very convenient to stop over for ferry to Ireland! 10/08/2017

Really lovely place, with a great little kitchen area at the side and nice welcome note from the new owners, who came to meet us on arrival to explain a few things and left us a little welcome pack of goodies. We were just staying 2 nights on our way to Ireland (would highly recommend if you need a stopover as it's only 10 minutes from the ferry terminal) so didn't explore the area that much, although did drive out to a restaurant about half an hour away for my partners birthday which was lovely, it was called The Cambrian Inn in Solva. The Yurt was clean and had lots of beds, there were only 3 of us but could have slept about 5 in there. It would have been nice to maybe have one less bed and put in a sofa bed instead for somewhere to sit in the yurt comfortably in the warm and dry (the weather wasn't that great to us!). There was also a fire area outside to BBQ on, which we managed one night when it was dry that was lovely and we also had wood supplied for the log burner in the yurt. Thanks for a lovely stay and we may be back one day!

    Disliked:

Didn't dislike anything, it was a great place but a bit of feedback for the new owners which may or may not be useful! It would be great to have somewhere to hang coats and towels so I thought maybe some hooks could be put on the posts of the yurt around the fire area. As it was a bit wet when we were there this would have been useful for drying coats off. Also a holder for the leaflets in the kitchen area would be good as we were moving them about from place to place. There also didn't seem to be any cold water in the washing up area when we were there, so the water was boiling. Not sure if you plan to refurbish the shower and toilet block but that would be a great thing to do, its perfectly functional but could do with a bit of upgrading.

From the manager...

Thanks for your lovely review and feedback. Your thoughts were already on our minds (& to do list) so great minds think alike. Looking forward to seeing you next time, Thanks again,
Colin & Sam.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Gwaun View Yurts with my husband, 4 year old son, 7 months old baby and our golden retriever. The yurt itself is absolutely beautiful. Decor is gorgeous and it is lovely and clean throughout. You get your own undercover dining area as well as a fully equipped kitchenette. They really have thought of everything and more! Outdoors you have your own dining area and camp fire-perfect for evenings spent outdoors and roasting marshmallows. The site is small enough that the children can run and play freely and safely. Very dog friendly. Toilets/showers are clean and tidy. The owners are absolutely lovely-nothing was too much trouble. We cannot fault this site-would recommend it to anyone!
