• Tour de France (July 5-26)
With two British winners in the past two years, cycling has never been so popular this side of the Channel. Add in the fact that North Yorkshire has been chosen as the place for the 2014 ‘Grand Départ’, and interest among Brits in the Tour de France is expected to be bigger than ever.
To make it easier to book accommodation near the Tour route, Pitchup.com has launched an interactive Tour de France route planner, giving details of all 20 stages of the Tour, and a comprehensive list of bookable campsites, holiday parks and lodge sites for every stage of the race.
The route planner (http://www.pitchup.com/tour_de_france/) covers all 20 stages of the Tour, beginning with Stage No 1, the Grand Départ in North Yorkshire on Saturday July 5, right through to Stage No 20, the finish at Périgueux on Saturday July 26.
