The Grosseto province's Camping Internazionale Etruria is a trifling kilometre away from the ancient seaside town of Castiglione della Pescaia, a highly popular Tuscany coastal spot for its beaches, its nightlife, its scenery, its wildlife… (There are reasons why this is the most visited seaside town in all of Tuscany.)
The site is set in a spectacularly scenic pine grove, covering three hectares coloured by Mediterranean shrubs, and shaded from the summer heat by the dense vegetation and pine trees. It has direct access via a short stroll to the crystal clear sea and sands of its nearby beach – or perhaps you'd rather pedal there or to the nearby Marina di Grosseto through the pine grove cycling trail…?
Camping Internazionale Etruria's camping area is divided into two sections, one for young campers and couples; the other for families and older guests. Site facilities include a well-stocked mini market, a play area and a restaurant also serving pizza.

Probably the best known natural settings around Castiglione are the Maremma Regional Park and the Diaccia Botrona Reserve: take a bike out for the day around the former to see its wildlife and its spectacular views, and a picnic to the latter to sit among the flamingos, sea crows and white herons.
The old town of Castiglione della Pescaia is one of the best-known seaside spots in all of Italy and, we say, one of the prettiest, as it stays firmly away from commercialisation to protect its wildlife and nature. After the beaches, see the famed Etruscan centre of Vetulonia, now with an Etruscan museum and adjacent archaeological site.
