Camping du Bois de St Hilaire

Ik was blij met This is the second time we have used this site in 2026 as we thoroughly enjoyed our first stay. This is a lovely site with good sized pitches separated with hedges or small trees. It is peaceful during the day and has some nice facilities.

Ik was niet blij met We visited the site in mid September this time so it was after the main season was over but there could have been better maintained areas such as the crazy golf as it is was overgrown. Also there was a group of around 10 teenagers who were quite noisy in the evening at the pool and then around the campsite later until midnight. We certainly love to have a good time ourselves but it was a little too much on this occasion with other people using the site and there did nit seem to be any managers intervention to quieten them down.

Ik was blij met Greeted by owner Henry, briefed about site then left to pick our own pitch! Was out of high season so pretty quiet.
Good size level pitches.
Lovely peaceful site, good facilities, nice bar!

Watch out for chickens looking for crumbs each day! lol

Ik was blij met Very peaceful and friendly. Great swimming pool and clean facilities. The pool bar. Main bar darts and pool were great for the evening.

Ik was blij met Lovely big pitches. Level pitches, amazing facilities. Loved having toilet seats and toilet roll. Quiet site with all you can need, only stayed for one night but loved our stay. Will be back if in the area

Ik was blij met Best toilets and showers in any campsite we’ve stayed in! Clean, well set out and made showering a young child much easier!
Staff went above and beyond to help us.
Pitches were of a great shape and size with ample shade during the hottest parts of the day.
The pool was perfect and we especially loved the amount of toys and equipment available for the kids to borrow!
Pizza night was also a welcome surprise after a long drive :)
The adjustments made for the prevention of forest fires were done well, actually helped us socialise a little more in what was a very friendly atmosphere!

Ik was blij met Easy to find. Proximity to Futuroscope was a bonus.
Very friendly family run campsite.
Pool was lovely and had a shallower end as well as the deep end (and open to a really decent time) and the bar area/hatch and chips of an evening were amazing.
Daughter loved the play park area as well.
There were pigs and goats and chickens to see which was a lovely surprise.
We didnt make it on the woodland walk but did utilise the petanque.
Due to wild fires there was no cooking tentside and only in a designated spot. This didnt cause too many issues as it was well sign posted, not far from our pitch and we were only staying a couple nights.
Facilities were clean and always well stocked of toilet paper/soap.
Pitch was a really good size and nice and flat.

Ik was blij met Large spread out campsite with plenty of shade. Lots of different types of accommodation. Nice surprise was the walk through the woods.

Easy walk into Chalandray where there was a great SPAR shop selling all manner of goods (surprisingly no meat though).

Also had a good lunch at the modest little auberge.

Ik was niet blij met Nothing really.

Ik was blij met Camping en un entorno precioso. Familiar, tranquilo y limpio.
Las personas que trabajan en el mismo son maravillosas. Tuvimos un problema con la luz en nuestra caravana y nos ayudaron hasta poder solucionarlo.
Personal muy amable con los niños

Ik was blij met Great place,lovely sized pitch,peaceful and in the trees with welcome shade
The pool was lovely especially as was super hot when we were there early july.the owners welcoming and always there with a smiling local advice we will return when back in france
