Brecon Beacons Bell Tents

Ik was blij met The site was beautiful, wild primrose, a stream with ducks, bird song and the sound of owls and woodpeckers daily. The kitchen and seating area undercover was decent and the tent spacious. It was great and necessary to have fires inside and out. Good shower and toilet. Close to the waterfalls walk, Hay and the activity centre.

Ik was niet blij met The locks on the shower and toilet were easier to lock from the outside. The screws used to fix the locks in place were left proud, so several scabbled hands. The memory foam mattress just sank in the middle not accounting for weight distribution, behaving as a memory foam mattress should which was part of the draw as I have a bad back, so this was disappointing. Lack of cleanliness.

Ik was blij met I was upgraded from Bryn Hafod on the hillside to the Cuddfan in he field by the river, which was great ! It's a spacious tent with an open-fronted kitchen next door and excellent shower/loo a very short distance away. There was a lot of tawny owl calling in the woods after dusk.

Ik was niet blij met Nothing really. The What3Words address gave the location correctly (don't think the lat/long is right). You have to briefly block the road while you open the gate to get into the area where you can park the car - it's then a 200m walk down the hill to the pitch.

Ik was blij met Fantastic spot, scenery and general feeling. Owner was so helpful with any issues we had. Would recommend for a peaceful back to the outdoors break!

Ik was blij met Such a peaceful stay. Was lovely to be by the river and hear the water. The woodburning stove was a god send in the cold nights. Was great fun cooking stew in the kitchen and listening to the birds in the morning. Fabulous January camp!

Ik was blij met A beautiful, isolated location. The yurt, toilet, shower and outdoor kitchen all perfect for what you need.

The host dropped off more water and logs (needed in the frosty days) within hours of request.

Woke up both mornings to the sound of woodpeckers and the river

Ik was niet blij met very small sign to say where destination was, closed gate and a blind corner-zero lighting to be had anywhere.

Parking WAY away from tent, dark and wet n leaves everywhere, called phone number when arrived, twice-no answer, nor a follow up throughout my duration. I fell twice taking my things in the pitch black to the tent, it was SOOOOOO muddy and had a steep decline to get from car to tent. I am still struggling with pain in my hip and shoulder :-(
Even the tent was green and dirty, carpet laid in the bottom obviously had no waterproofing of any sort as all my stuff got wet from being on it.
The shower didn't go above 7/8 degrees-was freezing, no instructions on how to make it warmer, so after my falls, I was soaking, wet and muddy and no way to even get warm or clean :-(

It was my 40th birthday present to myself after a crazy sad year filled with loss etc and what a disappointment.
