Ik was blij met This is a smallish site in terms of pitches but there is loads of room around each one. Check-in was easy -- the code to enter is emailed to you before you arrive and then you just call the number on the sign. We had a very friendly welcome and shown to our level, clean pitch. The security gate is great -- we felt very safe there.

Facilities block is clean. Loved the concept of having a whole bathroom to use. Made it quite luxurious for a campsite, to be honest! I would imagine this would be perfect for families where small children need to be supervised in the shower. Plenty of hot water in the bathrooms and separate toilet cubicles. One minor gripe would be that the separate toilet cubicles could do with a hook on the inside of the door. There are plenty of hooks in the bathrooms, though.

Close by to a bus stop on the Frome- Chippenham route. Watch out for the return journey though - they stop quite early and we got caught out (on saying that, it was quite cheap for a taxi back from Trowbridge).

10 minutes walk to the Lion and Fiddle. We didn't try the food there but I believe it's very good. The beer was good 😉

Nearby also to the canal, where you can cycle (thick tyres needed) to places like Bradford on Avon. Lots of nice places to relax there.

Also close to several National Trust places.

It's very peaceful . If you strain, you can hear the road from far away, farm machinery every so often and the bell ringers in the church. But that's it.

Ik was niet blij met A hook on the back of the toilet doors. So simple but would make life a little easier.
Also, there is no hot water at the washing up area. We just boiled a kettle and I noticed other people getting it from the bathroom. It's unusual not to have this these days, though. Minor point that didn't bother us but might with some people.

Ik was blij met Phoned as per instructed on arrival. Very friendly welcome, helpful and informative. They checked on us a few times to check everything was ok without being intrusive. Facilities were well maintained, clean and well looked after. Overall a great stay and would come again. Thanks!

Owner drove round every day to see if all is well
Groups of campers were at the far end so I could not hear them. :-)

Ik was blij met Toilet and shower facilities were very good, clean . Plenty of hot water. Location good, near to village pub.

Ik was niet blij met Shower and toilet facilities were plenty for the number of people staying while we visited. (Two cubicles with showers, toilets and sink, two cubical with toilet and sink). But if the site was busier it would mean queuing.

Ik was blij met The security of the site was good along with very clean showers and toilets. It was also very quiet.
The surrounding nature and wildlife are beautiful; we enjoyed watching the bats fly around at dusk.
It's a basic campsite with nothing more than a field and washrooms. Very peaceful.

The gentleman maintaining the site was rather grumpy. Didn't speak unless spoken to and even then not a jolly host. We were only one of 4-6 people/families staying there so not overwhelmed with people giving him hassle.
We had a dog with us and couldn't let him off the lead at all (their rules). I understand this if the site is busy, you don't want lots of loose dogs running around, but we were one of 4 pitches there and vastly spread out.
There is nowhere surrounding where you can directly walk your dog without going into the village to a small field. Basically it's a car journey (I can highly recommend Clanger Wood). It's also a little out of the way with no nice pubs within walking distance or places to eat.
