Ik was blij met Toilet and shower facilities were very good, clean . Plenty of hot water. Location good, near to village pub.

Ik was niet blij met Shower and toilet facilities were plenty for the number of people staying while we visited. (Two cubicles with showers, toilets and sink, two cubical with toilet and sink). But if the site was busier it would mean queuing.

Ik was blij met The security of the site was good along with very clean showers and toilets. It was also very quiet.
The surrounding nature and wildlife are beautiful; we enjoyed watching the bats fly around at dusk.
It's a basic campsite with nothing more than a field and washrooms. Very peaceful.

The gentleman maintaining the site was rather grumpy. Didn't speak unless spoken to and even then not a jolly host. We were only one of 4-6 people/families staying there so not overwhelmed with people giving him hassle.
We had a dog with us and couldn't let him off the lead at all (their rules). I understand this if the site is busy, you don't want lots of loose dogs running around, but we were one of 4 pitches there and vastly spread out.
There is nowhere surrounding where you can directly walk your dog without going into the village to a small field. Basically it's a car journey (I can highly recommend Clanger Wood). It's also a little out of the way with no nice pubs within walking distance or places to eat.

Ik was blij met Nice clean and quite site.
Stayed during term time in June.

Ik was niet blij met Only 2 showers for a fairly large site with probability of being very busy in holiday season.
No hot water at sinks for washing up
Showers were an inconsistent temperature, warning do not leave a child under them, they could freeze and burn in as many minutes.
No enough instruction for arrival in welcome email.

In relation to showers, there is always a balance that needs to be made in relation to optimal provision. For the majority of the year the current facilities are deemed to meet demand. We are aware however that there are occasions when extra provision is required, such as when events take place on the site, when extra facilities are supplied.

We would also like to take the opportunity to highlight that during busy periods of the year, at busy times, for example, first thing in the morning, no matter how many showers are financially feasible to provide, there would still be the likelihood of needing to queue. For this reason, we would ask campers to consider scheduling showers at quieter times to avoid possible inconveniences

With regards to inconsistent temperatures. As with a number of brands and models of showers, there is a need to balance flowrate and temperature. We recommend setting the temperature / flowrate control to halfway in the red zone for a consistent balance. Setting to full may result in cooler temperatures as water flows through the heater at a faster rate. Likewise, a lower flowrate can result in a weaker shower, but hotter temperature, until the point the heater is set for a cold or cool shower.

We also advise consideration be given to the ambient temperatures both in the heated shower units and in the campsite generally to appreciate how this might affect actual temperatures and relative temperature feel.
