Ik was blij met This was our 3rd time here - we came in 2018 ,2019 but with two extra children 🤣 . We were not dissapointed . Clean toilets , washing facilities . The shop was well stocked with all you could need. The staff are friendly and helpful

Ik was niet blij met Gutted we couldnt have a fire or bbq but fully understood why .

Also sad to see the club that was there the first two times gone but again not your fault .

Ik was blij met Pitch spaces were big and not cramped next to each other. Views were amazing. Takeway pizza on site was delicious. Staff were very helpful. Toilets showers were clean.

Coin operated showers. Now, I have no issue with a 50p shower, wasn’t a massive issue but the fact that the water temperature is set to 42 degrees is ridiculous. Height of summer, all burnt and couldn’t use the shower facilities. The children had to have stand up sink washes as they wouldn’t go under the water it was far too hot. This should be changed, put us off returning.

‘Wardens’ were never seen. Neighbour had loud tv playing till 2am daily and encroached on our pitch massively but as we were neighbouring with our family members we had enough space sideways.

No squeegee for the floor in the showers so stood in muck and grass wasn’t brilliant. Simple fix for site!

Yes the view from the campsite is stunning

Check in is set at 2pm and check out is set at 12 noon The ground crew require time following departure to clean the pitches in preparation for the incoming guests The departure time of 12 noon gives all visitors amble time to have breakfast and time to pack up without the need to be rushed early in the morning to vacate. Any guest can call us prior to arrival and check if their pitch is available earlier than the 2pm ifs its available then we are happy for visitors to arrive early.

We take the health and safety of all our visitors as a priority. When it comes to the showers and the operating water temperatures it is set at 42c for a good reason. The operating range for the showers is between 40c to 45c. 40c is considered cool and 45c as hot 42c is mid range. When the water reaches the shower head it as already dropped to around 40.8c If the showers were operating at 45c this would reduce the time that any guest would be able to remain in the shower. At 42c it is possible to remain in the shower with no concerns around scolding The showers are communal and they have a multiple of different users from young children to much older folk, vulnerable as well as guests with disabilities. so its important to consider all those that use them have different preferences so its important to establish a happy medium for all the users keeping them safe. It's a well known fact that if you have sunburn that any shower will intensify the sensation but this is not because of the water temperature but the fact that you have already scolded your skin in the sun. Naturally we were not made aware of any of your issues whilst on site which would have been much easier to deal with at the time and of course we would have been happy to temporarily reduce the shower temperature to accommodate your family and you.

Wardens are on site just because you do not see them does not mean that they are not there.

Camping is an outdoor activity and noise can been both annoying and frustrating but noise at night can travel and it can certainly sound louder than it actually is especially on the sea breezes. Of course if this was an issue then a quick word at reception would have dispatched a warden and they would have rectified the issue this also goes for the pitch encroachment. All pitches are minimum of 10 x 8 m and many pitches are larger than this. All pitches have clear line markers of course if we were not made aware of this issue then we are not able to rectify it whilst you were on site.

Squeegees Been there on many occasions sadly not the answer. To often are misused, broken or simply disappear. The showers are cleaned 4 times per day starting at 5.30am The last clean generally around 8pm. Unfortunately grass will always be a small issue The simple fix is for visitors to the facilities to clean there footwear before entering the facility, not sure that's going to happen

Ik was blij met Large pitch sizes. Quite site. Toilets and shower blocks kept clean. Chemical and waste facilities.

Ik was niet blij met No barrier’s to break up wind gusts. Shop was ok but lacks choice. Signage not very clear as to where pitch areas are. Beach distance a challenge for those with walking difficulties (not a 10min walk), and travelling by car was no better because idiots parked in the passing places along the lane, making entering and exiting a nightmare.

Chycarne is a small independent family owned and run campsite The camping areas are set within four designated camping areas with 139 pitches within a ten acres area. All pitches are numbered for ease

On arrival all visitors are provided with a site map with clear directions to their pitch.

The shop on site is not a mini mart but a small camp shop providing a range of items depending on what you require there are larger shops and supermarkets within a ten mile area from the campsite

Chycarne holiday park is a coastal camp site within an area of outstanding natural beauty ANOB and is perched overlooking the stunning Kennack sands bay. The park is made up with boundary fences and tree lined hedges. Some pitches are found to the centre of the camping areas. These pitches are little bit more exposed .Mother Nature can certainly catch us unawares especially when the wind picks up. When this occurs man made wind breaks are a great solution to mitigate any issues.

The two beaches at Kennack sands are a short distance from the campsite. Most visitors can easily walk to the beach within ten minutes depending on how quickly they choose to walk. Of course any visitors with smaller children or may have mobility issues may take longer to walk to the beaches. If you choose to drive to the beach which is a 2 minute drive you can expect to encounter some vehicles along the way Where visitors choose to park and how they park along the lane to the beach is completely out of our control like many beaches in Cornwall its one road in and one road out

Ik was blij met Love it here so chilled 😎have stayed here before a few years ago , lovely clean site with all different size pitches many of which are sloping but nothing major , lovely welcome from the lady on reception which to me makes a big difference. Clean showers and toilets areas . Woodland walk or roadside walk to a lovely beach with 2 shops/cafe bars looking out to the beach and sea . Will definitely be back…

Ik was blij met Excellent campsite! Welcoming and great customer service skills. Children and dog friendly. Excellent facilities and pitches. Good family vibe, would recommend to anyone interested to visit, as you won’t be disappointed! Thank you Chy Carne Holiday Park for making our visit to Cornwall one that we will remember. Ik was blij met ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great sea views, but bring plenty of 50ps!
This campsite in Cornwall boasts stunning sea views and very helpful staff. It’s in a fantastic location—just a lovely 20-minute walk down to the gorgeous Kennack Sands beach.
While the toilet and shower blocks are a bit dated, they are kept very clean. Just keep in mind that the site can get quite noisy, and you'll need to pay 50p per shower, so stock up on coins! Overall, a lovely stay made special by the scenery and location.
