Swoop down and pick a plot at Kite View Campsite if you're looking for a roost right in the middle of Hampshire. This quiet spot is set on a family-run working farm a few miles to the north of the South Downs National Park in a location surrounded by arable fields and grazing livestock. This place is all about making the time to do the little things that make a camping stay special, whether that involves booking with the farmers for a meet and greet with the animals, ordering some meat from a local game dealer or hiring a firepit and kindling the flames the old-fashioned way. Set in an elevated location, Kite View Campsite has a front-row seat for stargazing and spotting satellites drifting overhead after dark. In the daytime, its position makes the grounds a great vantage point for wildlife spotting too – kites, buzzards and other birds of prey can frequently be seen soaring overhead, while down on the ground you might spot rabbits, hares and fawn or fallow deer darting through the undergrowth. A number of footpaths can be reached straight from the site, including routes down to the local pub and village stores a mile to the south in Medstead. For more supplies, head down the road to Alton (10 minutes' drive) for supermarkets, shops and takeaways.

Ruime, rustige boerencamping met zeer schone faciliteiten en vriendelijk personeel. Welkomstpakketten gewaardeerd. Landelijke locatie met mooie uitzichten en dieren. Basics, maar goed onderhouden. Kleine verbeterpunten voor signage/afwas. Velen willen terugkomen.

Ik was blij met Stunning location and lovely local village. Animals nearby.

Ik was niet blij met Toilets didnt get hand roll refreshed. No info on local footpaths to the village so walked down road prior to locating routes. No contact with owners. Basically just a field for the weekend. Play area was 2 tyres with some sand and weeds in.

I appoligise about the hand roll running out our facilities are cleaned 3 times a day and checked and topped up, I can only appoligise this must have run out and then wouldn't have been check untill the next clean. If you had dropped us a message we could of sorted this sooner.

Every camper receives a welcome and pre arrivial message via whatapp or text message and they are always contactable on there and we are always contactable for any questions or advice. I have checked the campsite phone and you were sent all the information prior to arrival. Nor did you try to contact us with your concerns or these would have been rectified as soon as possible.

We also do not bill ourselves as being anything more that a field in a stunning location, unfotuanly we lost our children's climbing frame to the last storm and it was not safe enough to leave on site but we have a new one on order to replace that one.
We believe in a quite peaceful location where people and families and spend time outdoors together.

Ik was blij met We had an amazing time at this campsite! Our campsite had plenty of space and privacy. The facilities were good and well-maintained - clean restrooms, hot showers.

Ik was niet blij met The small downside was that the entrance to the campsite was a bit hard to find, as there were no clear signs or markings from the main road.
One area that could use some improvement is the dishwashing facilities.

Ik was blij met Third visit to this amazing place since discovering it in July. Always so welcoming and well maintained. Venison burgers are delicious. Will definitely be back again.

Ik was blij met Lovely rural location, plenty of space, a climbing frame to keep the children entertained and a sense the owners really cared that visitors enjoy their stay. The farm animal tour was a treat. Great for families. The facilities were basic but clean and adequate. Really enjoyed our stay.

For a car-free jaunt, pick up the Watercress Line steam railway at Medstead and Four Marks station (a mile from base) and take a trip to the pretty town of Alresford (15 minutes' drive), where you can carry on your journey on foot along the scenic Alresford Watercress Trail Circular. After taking in millponds, streams, woodlands and vineyards in Alresford, a 10-minute drive to the south (or half an hour when setting off from site) will take you to the National Trust-run Hinton Ampner Estate, a gorgeous expanse of Hampshire parkland with a small stately home attached. Guests of a literary persuasion should also find many a happy hour hereabouts – this quiet agricultural landscape makes an excellent backdrop for relaxed reading sessions, while less than 10 minutes' drive away you’ll come across Jane Austen's House in the village of Chawton. Inspired and ready to stock up on reading material? Petersfield (25 minutes) has a thriving collection of bookshops, while over in Winchester (25 minutes) you can pick up well-thumbed paperbacks for bargain prices in the cathedral close at weekends.
