Glasson Dock Campsite

Ik was blij met Good level pitch, toilets were very clean and well stocked. Nice location by the canal. Ian was friendly and greeted us when we arrived. Fire pits are allowed which is a bonus. Didn’t have a kayak/paddle board but that would be a good thing to do with the canal. A nice stay overall.

Ik was niet blij met Luck of the draw really but first night noisy family music and chatting until the small hours very little sleep. 2nd night families much more considerate of other campers. Not a criticism though just the way it is during the busier times of year I’m sure. Adjacent to a working farm too so early wake up call- so not much chance of over sleeping!

Ik was blij met Easy to find and a very nice site. The location is bang on, we will definitely be coming back. The site owner is very friendly and cant do enough for you

Ik was blij met Lovely little campsite , the owner was lovely and really helpful, nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely camp the again.

Ik was blij met Just returned home after 3 night stay - being truthful I only read the reviews AFTER we had booked and paid - was not really looking forward to it as there seemed to be some bad reviews - However, we were greeted by the owner, very nice man who told us where every was and how to get to the dock side - The toilet block looked a bit off putting but after entering was pleasantly surprised - toilets were clean, had lighting, toilet paper and paper towels put in daily - the toilet/disposal units for your own chemical seemed to be checked everyday too - plenty of bin space for your rubbish - the field (grass was short) was looked after - the families that were camping while we were there seemed friendly and respectful - no one running round fields at god knows what time and no loud music that went on into the night - small kids swing in middle of field and plenty of room for kiddies to run around and play safety - only down fall was lack of hot water

lack of hot water - was a pain boiling water to wash pots.

Toilet cubicles, although clean the cubicles lacked space, had to stand to the side of toilet to get in and then your knees were against the door

Ik was blij met Laid back, relaxed atmosphere, helpful host. Dog friendly and a small walk away from the canal.

Ik was blij met Lovely camp site. Loved the fact that the canal was so close, for me to launch my canoe and paddle up and down the canal

Ik was blij met Great location, owner very nice, greated me on arrival. Quiet friendly site, showers and toilets block could do with updating, overall will definitely return.
