Crake Valley Holiday Park

Ik was blij met The holiday park itself is a beautiful site, plenty surrounding the area and a general sense of order to things. The camp ground was for the most part well maintained, good places to pitch and little fire pits & benches around for use as well. Some good bus links nearby to Coniston/Ulverston; also a lot of trails and mountains around to hike too.

Bathrooms were clean and shower pressure good, it only has a hot water tank so i recommend early morning showers to make sure you have hot water to use. Use sparingly as well for fellow campers staying around you!

Little honesty hut meant nice treats if I felt like it, along with cans of pop to go with dinner which did come in handy! Also logs to purchase at a reasonable price to enjoy an evening around the fire.

WIFI great around the toilet block and at certain spots on the tent pitches, can be spotty but realistically its not the end of the world, not with the beautiful night sky you can catch if skies are clear. The area is also in a tiny bit of a dead spot for reception (if you are with Three - people I met there with EE had full 5G!).

Overall, this may go down as one of my favourite campsites I have stayed at so far! I endorse this campsite to anyone wanting to escape away to the Lakes whether that be with friends, partner, family or even by yourself as I did.

Ik was blij met Super peaceful with plenty of amenities. The toilet/shower block is excellent with reliable hot water. Added bonus of a decent washing up station too. Because there’s only a few camping spots, the showers / toilets were always free. Lovely stream running just behind for a tranquil background sound.
We run into a bit of an issue with our tent being less waterproof than required……the owners were amazing and gave us an alternative option that, to be honest, they didn’t have to. Very much appreciated their hospitality and willingness to help.

Ik was niet blij met The ground was a little rocky underneath and made it difficult to peg the tent down. We got there in the end with a mallet and patience.

Ik was blij met I stayed with my partner, 7year old and 12 year old for 2 nights we Could not fault the little camp spot! A few minutes walk to the lake, lovely hot water showers , 2x washing up sinks, good wifi if needed, firepit provided and wood, firelighters,kindling avaliable to buy which is dropped to your tent also a cute honesty box filled with goodies and with only a few pitches avaliable you have a plenty of room each and its nice and quiet i would definitely stay here again

Ik was niet blij met Booked a grass pitch, but only pitch left had no grass and a rock in the ground, right in the middle of the pitch!
Refuse bin not emptied very often, could attract rodents/pests.
Unsure who was responsible, but a car driver thought they were on a rally course when driving on gravelled areas.

Ik was blij met Lovely site. Small camping field which only allows 3 partys which gave us all a nice bit of space. Honesty hut with some delicious goodies in! Clean facilities.

Ik was niet blij met Only negative is that they dont offer a fridge/freezer to cool icepacks. Is there was this facility we would of happily stayed longer and booked longer stays.

Ik was blij met Good clean facilities. Good location to go on to the lake, or hang around at the lake beaches.

Ik was niet blij met The camping ground was only large enough for 4 or 5 tents, which was fine for us. May be a different experience if there were any selfish campers nearby, as there would be no escape.
Also, when we arrived, we had very little infor of where to camp, as there was no reception.

Ik was blij met Nice location in woodland this very small campsite has only 4 pitches and is a short walk from the lake side for wild swimming - good hot shower and facilities and nice cakes from the treats shed- note the pitches are quite close together and they do encourage bbqs so can get noisy / smoky so bring a fire extinguisher, Imodium and ear plugs,

Ik was blij met Good location, and use of facilities well stocked and cleaned. Pitches were well spaced and nice to have a additional bench on each section. Will definitely book again.

Ik was blij met Location , 10 minutes walk from site to edge of coniston waters.
Quietness , only 3 pitches on site , in wooded glade.
Cleanliness, wether self governing or not , site was kept tidy , toilets and showers also clean.

Ik was niet blij met Nothing to really dislike .
