There are magical coastal and country views all over Springhill Farm Holiday Accommodation, a family- and dog-friendly site in peaceful countryside five minutes’ drive from Seahouses. The property has glimpses of the Farne Islands offshore, Bamburgh Castle to the north and the Cheviot Hills in the west. The well-maintained pitches are surrounded by landscaped greenery and have access to a lovely play area for kids. Spotless modern amenities include shared toilets and shower trailers, a family bathroom with baby-changing facilities, and one with disabled access. There’s also a washing-up area, laundry room, wifi and chemical and grey waste disposal. Despite the quiet rural setting of this site, there are shops, pubs and restaurants in Seahouses, as well as restaurants and cafés in gorgeous Bamburgh (both five minutes' drive). Locally there are several of the UK’s most spectacular beaches, happily dog-friendly all year around – but you don’t have to go that far to exercise your dogs, as there’s a dedicated dog-walking area on site.

Deze goed onderhouden, schone en ruime camping heeft vriendelijk personeel en uitstekende faciliteiten zoals warme douches en handige voorzieningen zoals koelkasten en magnetrons. Fantastische locatie voor kustverkenning, met mooi uitzicht op zee en boerderijdieren. Verbeteringen aan tijdelijke faciliteiten in het weiland opgemerkt.

Ik was blij met Lovely site with plenty of room on the Meadow for those with tents. The campervans and caravans were spaced out and it didn’t feel too crowded. I loved the fact it was a working farm with lots of animals. The view to the sea was beautiful.
The campsite was in walking distance to Seahouses and a short drive to the spectacular coastline.
I’d bring a bike the next time.

Ik was niet blij met I wasn’t a fan of the toilet facilities close to the Meadow. Just two female toilets with a very small hand basin. However, the facilities next to Reception were very clean and spacious.

Ik was blij met Great site with clean and tidy facilities. Good location for getting to the beach and town.

Ik was niet blij met Nothing that could be blamed on the site, but power cut in the Meadow toilet block made the walk to the facilities a bit long. Also the Meadow is exposed to the wind, but to be expected on a Coastal field.

Ik was blij met Great site if you had a motorhome, tourer, wanted to stay in glamping pods. Toilets and showers clean. Lovely spot with views out to sea. We would stay again but maybe not in a tent.

Ik was niet blij met Tented meadow was so windy that it broke our tent and we had to leave before we'd finished putting the tent up. The people next to us on the field also had the same problem.

Ik was blij met The vast amount of space and views to die for, the location excellent only mile and a half from Seahouses. The facilities were excellent the showers are easily the best we’ve come across on other sites. Also the set up of the communal kitchen area a great ideas kettles, pots, toasters fridges, microwaves etc. all makes for a superb location and site. We were parked up on the Meadows with no EHU. If your in the vicinity you NEED to check this gem out.

Ik was niet blij met Ensure you take a water barel, no water supply at pitch. No waste water drain at pitch. 4 night stay, wifi did not work 3 nights.

Ik was blij met Great location, big pitches and good, clean facilities. Nice to see a shop on site for essentials and also the honesty box for fresh eggs next to the entrance.

Ik was niet blij met Wasn't impressed with the shower on my first morning so used my own facilities for the rest of the stay.
Lots of wasps hanging around the fresh water point so don't know if there was a nest nearby?
Wifi terrible ....

Ik was blij met Fantastic location. We camped on the meadow and had views of the Farne Islands, Bamburgh Castle and all different types of animals. They had cows, sheep and pigs at the farm. Animal food was available at the reception if you wanted to feed them.
It was such a spacious field and we chose a great spot overlooking a field. We saw wild hare playing in the field when the sun set and saw a bat flying around us as we ate our s’mores.
On the meadow, there was a wooden hut which held three showers, two female toilets and a male toilet. The shower was probably better than the one I have at home. Very powerful and decent a temperature. In the same hut, they had three fridge/freezers for you to use. Plug sockets, should you need to charge your phone, hairdryers and two sinks to wash your pots.
A few water points were also located on the field to fill up your water bottles.
There was a small, but adequate play area for children to play in.
It had WiFi on the field, but wasn’t the strongest… but you don’t go camping to sit on your phone, in my opinion!
Staff friendly.

Ik was niet blij met We asked to stay another night, but they were fully booked! Can totally see why. We are likely to return!

With miles of sand stretching down the coastline and backed by dunes, Bamburgh beach (five minutes’ drive) is rarely crowded; it lends itself to walking, beachcombing and swimming on warmer days. Spending a day there is made even more splendid by its stunning views of Bamburgh Castle, which is open for (pre-booked) tours of its well-preserved interiors, chapel and windmill. Hot competition for ‘best castle in Northumberland’ comes from Alnwick Castle (25 minutes), with its grand architecture, Harry Potter-related exhibitions and family-friendly activities such as the adventure playground and poison garden. Offshore, you can visit two famed Northumberland landmarks. The Farne Islands are a world-renowned wildlife sanctuary; catch the regular boat service from Seahouses (five minutes) between Easter and October for close-up views of seabirds and one of the UK’s largest grey seal colonies. Accessible via a tidal causeway (25 minutes, be sure to check tide times before you go), Holy Island (Lindisfarne) is steeped in history; once there, you can explore Lindisfarne Castle and its Lutyens-designed interior, the 12th-century priory and several peaceful beaches.
