Ik was blij met Beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
A lovely rural setting with plenty of potential. The location itself is very pleasant and makes for a relaxing stay.
The site has the foundations of what could be a really enjoyable place to stay.

Ik was niet blij met The toilet and shower facilities are quite dated and would benefit from refurbishment.
TV signal was poor during our stay.
The on-site Wi-Fi was very poor and, at times, didn't work at all.

Our main concern was the way an issue regarding charging our hybrid car was handled.

I was charging my hybrid car, which has a relatively small battery capacity. I always check the terms and conditions of every site before doing this, as I fully understand that some sites specifically prohibit EV or hybrid charging. Having checked the terms and conditions before our stay, I could not find anything stating that vehicle charging was not permitted.

At around 9pm on our first evening, the site owner came to our caravan and demanded that I come outside immediately. When I did, his approach was very aggressive and included foul language. I explained that I had checked the terms and conditions and that there was no mention of charging vehicles being prohibited.

Had there been a clear rule stating that charging wasn't permitted, I would have respected it without question. Equally, if I had simply been politely asked to stop charging, I would have had no issue doing so.

Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left both myself and my partner feeling uncomfortable and on edge for the remainder of our stay. It's a real shame, as the beautiful surroundings could make this a lovely site, but the experience with the owner significantly affected our overall impression.

Ik was blij met We absolutely loved our stay here. The campsite is immaculate and beautifully maintained, set within a gorgeous old orchard which made it such a pretty and peaceful setting.

It’s exceptionally quiet and peaceful, with the adults-only atmosphere making it perfect for a relaxing break. The pitches are large and spacious, with a water tap conveniently located right next to the pitch and EHU within a good distance.

The location is fantastic too, sitting nicely between Pickering and Scarborough, and just a short distance from Dalby Forest, which has some beautiful walks to explore. It’s also very dog-friendly, which was a huge bonus for us.

The facilities are clean, spacious and well maintained, including an accessible toilet, and the rubbish and waste disposal areas were also clean and tidy.

The owners were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

Overall, this was a fantastic campsite in a beautiful location. We’d definitely recommend it and will happily return! ☺️

Ik was niet blij met The only downside for us was the Wi-Fi. It wouldn’t put us off staying again, but the signal was quite poor and we generally had to be outside to get a connection, and even then it could be a little hit and miss.

Not really a dislike, but the turning out of the camping field was quite tight, particularly for a newbie like me! 😅 I had a bit of a close call when turning out, although thankfully managed to sort myself out with a bit of manoeuvring. I’m sure navigating smaller spaces will come with experience! 😊

Neither would put us off returning though, and overall we had a fantastic stay.

Ik was blij met Everything good. Shown our pitch and facilities by mum. Lovely lady. Owner came to see us later. Nice and peaceful site. Facilities very clean, toilet, sink and hand dryer in each cubicle. One shower cubicle in the Ladies but never had to wait. Would recommend

Ik was niet blij met Dropped a star as only two lady'stoilets and one lady's shower, however all were clean and we experienced no queuing

Ik was blij met We like everything about this site and was greeted by a warm welcome then left to get on with our holiday BUT the owner was always about if you needed any help
Well set out pitches and nice and big
Facility’s were nice and clean
Nice pub a short walk away
Nice walks locally
Handy for most places by car
We shall definitely be returning

Ik was niet blij met If your in need of constant and uninterrupted signal, this site is not for you.its not necessarily the fault of the site, simply that the area itself is poorly served!

Ik was blij met The location is perfect for a day trip out to either Scarborough or Whitby. So quiet and peaceful too. The site manager was excellent, he showed us to our pitch, showed us where the toilets and shower blocks were, also where to dispose of our Grey Waste and Chemical waste. Can't fault the site in anyway.

Ik was blij met The site is small the host was excellent, overall I had a great stay, peaceful relaxing with the added sounds of the animals that surround the orchard.So convient for getting every where.

Ik was blij met Really liked everything. The site is very clean and tidy within a lovely setting. All facilities are well maintained and the showers have constant hot water. Well placed for getting around and visiting North Yorkshire attractions. Very friendly owners.
