For those couples/travelling parties that frequently face disagreement over whose turn it is to be designated driver, there’s really only one sensible solution: bed down right there at the pub. Dozing off at the bar might be considered a little unseemly, so The Old Bush’s owners Matt and Karen have come up with a better solution and set up pitches in the garden area behind their rural Worcestershire pub. Thus guests can partake of dinners accompanied by a few local ales/ciders before strolling home (to a peaceful corner with drinking water, showers and 24-hour toilets) in just a couple of minutes – how civilised. In fact, the whole setup here is rather civilised: The Old Bush is a traditional country pub in the little village of Callow End, with food available at lunch and dinner times, plus a menu of mini meals for smaller guests. On warmer days the merriment spills out into the garden, where there’s a play area, an aviary and a little flock of chickens along with plenty of tables for open-air drinking, dining and admiring the views over the Malvern hills. Of course, one can’t sit around in the pub all day (well, maybe not every day, anyway…), so it’s worth noting that this is also a handy location for walks, horse riding, games of golf, fishing and days out in Worcester and Malvern (both 15 minutes away by car). Handily, if you do ‘accidentally’ sup one too many at lunchtime there’s a bus stop in the village so you can still get out and about.

Een charmante, goed onderhouden camping met vriendelijk, behulpzaam personeel. Gasten prijzen de onberispelijke faciliteiten, het uitstekende eten en drinken in de pub en de handige boerderijwinkel/café. Ik was blij met The location is great with lovely views from the pitches.
Great pub and I imagine the pub garden is very popular in the summer. The aviary is a nice touch.
Good, spacious showers with wet rooms at the pub.
Though the site is on a slope they have done a great job of levelling the pitches.

Ik was niet blij met You choose your own pitch. However there is one pitch that has no electricity close and we ended up on that pitch. We only have a ten metre cable and that wouldn't reach the hookup points on the next site. We had to pitch off the flat surface and it still ended up pulling the socket point on our van out. Luckily our neighbours let us borrow tools. This was only a problem because we didn't have a longer cable.

Unfortunately we had no hot water for the entire weekend. Partner mentioned it on Friday but still cold on Sunday. Haven't seen this in any other reviews so I assume this is unusual.

Ik was blij met Great camp site, friendly staff, first class farm shop on site and excellent food at the onsite cafe and in the pub. Good dog walking from the site. Couldn’t be faulted.

Ik was blij met Lovely place with an absolutely fabulous shower ( best shower ever!)and a very nice pub. We loved the aviary and the shop/cafe was nice.

Work up an appetite for that pub dinner and drinks with walks through grassland, heath and woods in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty (15 minutes’ drive). You can also wander with woolly company from Simply Alpaca (25 minutes), play games of golf (10 minutes) or saddle up for horseback hacks (10 minutes’ walk). Guests with an eye for greenery may like to schedule outings to some of the area’s fine gardens: Spetchley Park Gardens (15 minutes) and Showborough House sculpture garden (20 minutes) are both worth a stop, as are the walled gardens at the National Trust’s Croome Court (20 minutes).
