Gwatkin Red Cow Campsite

Ik was blij met Excellent nights stay here 😊
We pitched up in the apple orchard field rather than the open field. You could pick any spot you wanted. The Sunday lunch (pork and beef) was incredible, and the different cider options were vast and strong! Plenty of walk options and beautiful views of the Golden Valley.
We were looked after from the minute we arrived. The fella with the red braces (forgot his name) couldn’t do enough for us and was always around the farm to be on hand to help.
Will definitely return if we get the chance.

Ik was blij met Sunday roast was the best we’ve had in a long time. Campsite was well maintained and bins emptied regularly. Lots of space per pitch. Dogs were very happy with access to the stream. Would recommend. Can’t forget the cider, absolutely lovely.

Ik was blij met Loved this site and the restaurant and cider shop good facilities basic but good.

Ik was blij met The campsite was fantastic, we opted for staying in the orchard but there are no designated pitches so there is loads of space. The showers and toilets are in a converted pig sty but they’ve kept it rustic and kept clean and serves the purpose so no complaints, always warm water.
The reception/shop is where the cider from their cider brewery is served and they have lovely outdoor space to consume it. They serve other bottled beers if you don’t like cider but it’s worth a try. The restaurant was open Saturday night only and the food was lovely, but it does breakfasts and lunches most days and it was really nice. There is lots of places locally where you can experience kayaking down the river wye which is so much fun.
Overall it was a great experience and would highly recommend

Ik was blij met Great little campsite, the toilets and shower facilities are very quirky. You are surrounded by rolling green fields and farmyard animals but it's still so peaceful. Family run and the cider they produce is lovely. The restaurant is a nice extra, we are there on our last night and it was outstanding. Highly recommend the tipsy hen pie and sticky toffee pudding. We camped in the orchard which was just lovely and for the price you can complain. Lots of walks near by.

Ik was niet blij met If I was staying longer than a couple of nights maybe a plug socket to dry my hair. Dry shampoo worked fine for our little get away.
