Gwatkin Red Cow Campsite

Likte The campsite was fantastic, we opted for staying in the orchard but there are no designated pitches so there is loads of space. The showers and toilets are in a converted pig sty but they’ve kept it rustic and kept clean and serves the purpose so no complaints, always warm water.
The reception/shop is where the cider from their cider brewery is served and they have lovely outdoor space to consume it. They serve other bottled beers if you don’t like cider but it’s worth a try. The restaurant was open Saturday night only and the food was lovely, but it does breakfasts and lunches most days and it was really nice. There is lots of places locally where you can experience kayaking down the river wye which is so much fun.
Overall it was a great experience and would highly recommend

Likte Love this site - it’s so off grid but not. Food in the restaurant is good but this time they also had a food van on site. Cider is beautiful and so much choice. Clean shower and toilet block
No ehu but a mixture of pitches in the orchards or the fields

Likte It's always a pleasure to come over to Red Cow, the area is outstandingly beautiful - lovely walks, and the site and it's facilities are spot on. We were able to book in the restaurant for Saturday evening, as in the past we've been there during the week when it's only possible to eat at lunchtime. Very helpful and welcoming staff as always; it's a working farm so it's just as you'd expect.

Likte ikke Just a bit of a shame that the boxed ciders are never chilled, which in the summer means a bit too warm to enjoy a refreshing sip of the great range of ciders.

Likte Great little camp site. Beautiful area for a little getaway either with friends or family.
You can either camp in an open area or in the farms orchard.
Plenty of nice walks with loads of animals to see.
For the price you cannot go wrong.

Likte Camping in the orchard, on such a hot day, least there was plenty of beautiful apple trees to sit under, loved the rustic shower hot showers, all very simple stuff, but everything you needed, was a bonus having a fantastic restaurant onsite, full breakfast was amazing, and the shop with the delicious cider, which we brought a few bottles of to enjoy while we enjoyed the stunning view. Will definitely be back, we are tent box campers.

Likte ikke The shower curtain that constantly stuck to you, but can live with that. And shame restaurant times weren't a bit longer for opening for an evening meal.

Likte Everything! Beautiful campsite, beautiful scenery. Well maintained and spotless facilities. As a working farm it was wonderful to see all the animals, all so well cared for. An added boon is that this farm produces cider and perry which is sold in the onsite shop. The onsite restaurant serves home cooked fare and large portions. Really enjoyed our stay - will definitely return.

Likte Space given to camp , quirky clean toilets and showers and washing up area , quiet , shops and wonderful restaurant ( served a first class sun roast ! )
