Tagg Lane Caravan Site

Ik was blij met Super clean and tidy site. Was really quiet when we went for our first night in our new caravan. Only 3 other pitches occupied. Owners don’t hassle or interfere but was there within 5 mins when we needed help hooking up (new to caravaning) super nice and helpful. The onsite dairy farm cafe was beautiful and a lovely treat.
Visited the local pub for tea which was amazing quality, slightly on pricier side but well worth it for the quality.

Site was freshly cut and clean fresh water/waste area. Easy to pull and out towing a caravan .

Would definitely visit again.

Ik was blij met Simple et efficace. Calme. Et le petit café en journée juste à côté.

Ik was niet blij met Un peu cher pour ce qui proposé, soit une place de parc.

Ik was niet blij met I visited Tagg Lane Holiday Camp in the Peak District for a five-day getaway. Unfortunately, on our journey to the site, our car broke down and ended up being stuck in a garage for around a week. We were around five hours from home, with our caravan already on site, and suddenly had no way of getting the caravan home.

We went into the site shop and explained the situation to the lady there. She was very understanding and told us she would see what she could do to help.

Unfortunately, after a couple of days we hadn’t heard anything, so we contacted the number provided. We spoke to a gentleman who seemed to have no knowledge of our situation. We explained that we were looking to see whether we could leave our caravan on site temporarily — something we completely understood would likely come with an additional charge.

We were told someone would get back to us, but despite making multiple calls and sending messages, we received no response.

By the day before we were due to return home, we still hadn’t had any confirmation or communication regarding what could be done with our caravan. This left us in a very difficult position, especially given that we were already dealing with a breakdown five hours from home.

It’s a real shame because the situation was completely unexpected and outside of our control, and we were simply looking for some help and communication from the site.

Unfortunately, based on our experience, I wouldn’t return to Tagg Lane Holiday Camp. It left us feeling that the priority was the running of the dairy farm rather than the holidaymakers staying on the site. Better communication and some basic customer support during an unexpected situation would have made a huge difference.

If you want, I can also make it  more blunt and strongly worded, while still keeping it suitable for a public Google/Facebook review.
