Non mi è piaciuto Lack of clear communication when we arrived, no soap in the one sink for washing hands, which meant that people were washing their hands and brushing their teeth in the kitchen area, only 3 toilets, nowhere to get rid of dog poo, so it stank out our van taking it away, no hose on th chemical toilet point, which makes me wonder if people were using the drinking water tap to top up their toilet tanks.

There is always hand soap in the wash area. Unfortunately it does run out but is always refilled daily.
We have 3 toilets on the camping field and 6 in the shower block.
As for dog poo. It’s your dog. Take it home with you. It’s not my dog. Why should I have to smell it. You chose to have the dog.
We don’t take any rubbish any longer. Thank the campers who put gas canisters in our bins for this.
As for water to go in your toilet. We are in a drought. We are very low on water. Ps. We don’t advertise we have this service. In fact. We say we don’t have chemical waste on site. So be grateful we do. Plenty of other sites don’t.

We would, however, like to clarify some points for future guests. We do provide chemical toilet disposal points, but we have never advertised a hose for cleaning chemical toilets or a facility for refilling caravan/motorhome water tanks. Our site is supplied entirely by a natural spring, not mains water, so our water is limited, particularly during the current hosepipe ban and prolonged dry weather.

We also do have showers on site. Guests simply need to call or message the number provided to receive the access code, and these are regularly used by our other campers.

We are also confused by the ratings, particularly 10/10 for Wi-Fi when we do not provide or advertise Wi-Fi, and 1/10 for customer service despite no customer-service issue being mentioned. This suggests there may have been some misunderstanding when completing the scores.

We welcome genuine feedback, but feel it is important to correct information about facilities that were never advertised as part of the booking, so future guests are not misled.

Great access to a variety of outdoor adventures, from waterfalls and mountain biking to fun at the beach.
Very child friendly place, with plenty of space and a great park for younger children to play in if the woods and mountain biking are not their thing.
The facilities are basic but will get you by for a week or so. This also means that the pitch costs are low.
Owners are fantastic, friendly and always trying to develop their facilities.

Non mi è piaciuto This is a minor thing. Shower room floors could be pitched better to drain the water away. Water pools towards the door of the showers room not totally running into the drain. Hang your bags on the doors so things do not get wet.

Non mi è piaciuto Showers were locked because you have to pay, you have to call a number to get a code. Didn’t have my phone with me so had to walk back to the van, get my phone and walk back to the showers with 3 kids.

Just to explain regarding the showers, unfortunately we do have to keep these locked, as we have previously had people who are not staying on the campsite coming onto the site and using them.

We only charge adults for the use of the showers; children are free. As our site runs from a natural spring, we do have to purchase additional water during busy and dry periods. This is especially necessary at the moment following the lovely weather we’ve had and the lack of rainfall.

We appreciate that having to go back to your van for your phone, especially with three children, was inconvenient, and we’ll take your feedback on board.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely quiet campsite in a great location. Stunning scenery. My niece and I loved it, we can’t wait to come back.
