Middle Corscombe Farm

Mi è piaciuto We had an unexpectedly short stay here due to illness, we could sadly only stay one night. Because of this, we didn't get to explore the whole site.
The friendly host was in contact with me in advance of our stay to say there was availability for an earlier check in and a choice of pitches which was lovely. He was on site to greet us at our agreed time and showed us around, and offered to help us get our equipment to our chosen pitch using his landrover. There were also wheelbarrows available to assist.

We chose a central pitch near the barn which was fantastic. All the pitches were mowed short, with long grass in between and there was a lot of wildlife thriving.

There were walks around the site and down to the nearby stream, but unfortunately we could not make use of these due to illness.

We did use the communal barn for hanging out on the sofas, listening to music (CDs and Books were provided) and playing on the games table. The barn was open to the elements, but did have some pull down covers (made of vintage tents!) for additional shelter if the weather got bad. There was a kitchen in there with wood fired stove, dining table, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans plus small fridge and freezer compartment. Note, the stove is not lit, you need to buy wood from the site to fuel this if required. We had paid for a fire pit, and this was ready for us on arrival with cooking tripod, wood, matches and firelighters.

We spotted a picnic area with benches in amongst some shady trees.

There were seperate men's and ladies toilets, each with two cubicles and one shower. They were well cleaned and maintained.

Outside was a nice sunny decking area, a washing up station and waste sorting area.

Swimming pool were on site, but not open at the time of year we visited (April).

No electricity or gas which is lovely unless you have wet wood and need to make a hot drink!

Road noise from A30 was loud even at night, and woke us up early when traffic started to build up, about 6am (but this does mean the site is easy to access, only 5 mons from the main road...)

Pitches were flat, but paths between were sloping, so not ideal of you have any mobility issues. There may have been flat areas for games of football/Frisbee etc elsewhere where we dod not have tome to explore, but do check ahead if this is important to you!

Mi è piaciuto I stayed with my 8 year old daughter. We loved the campsite. We had a very warm welcome, and were shown all of the facilities. Our pitch was amazing.

The barn with all amenities was fantastic.

The pool was great.

Mi è piaciuto The campsite was amazing! We especially loved the sauna and swimming pool in the mornings to start the day! The shower, toilets and washing up facilities were always clean and very well stocked up. Having the clubhouse provided a cosy and warm space in the evenings with games, blankets and a fully stocked kitchen to make snacks, meals and hot drinks.
The pitches themselves are very large and flat and there are wheelbarrows to take belongings to and from the cars.
It’s only a short drive to Okehampton for shopping, meals out or pubs and there are a few other small villages near by for walking or pub crawling!

Non mi è piaciuto The only negatives were that you could not park next to the pitch, and instead parked in a carpark a short walk away. This is only really an inconvenience if you have a small tent with no storage space as you have to keep going back and forth, but luckily it’s only a few minutes away from the furthest pitches. The only other minor inconvenience was the low lighting in the toilets and showers but this is not a problem if take a torch!

The pitches were a great size and nicely levelled, they struck a good balance between private and being able to be friendly with neighbours. The barn is a great asset - a place for children to play together, books on local things to do and a good base of kitchen things. The pool is a bit chilly but well kept with a few inflatables and loungers. The sauna heated very quickly and was in good condition (clean). The toilets and showers were beautifully clean and tidy, as was the washing up area. Lloyd was attentive to the everyday running of the site and on hand whenever needed, but was respectful of guests' space. It was very easy to relax here.

Mi è piaciuto This place breathes natural beauty and eye for detail. The host maintaines the garden with lots of care, he helps to get your camping gear to the pitch with his little tractor... Very friendly. The barn is all set if you like to read a book, chill in a sofa or make a cup of tea. Freezing your cool elements or charging your phone is all easy. It is also fun to jump in the swimming pool on a hot day. The moore is just a short ride away. Definitely a great place for tent camping.

Mi è piaciuto It was a truly magical stay. Located minutes away from Okehampton, it was close enough to civilisation and far enough to feel like I was in the middle of nowhere (in a good way). I absolutely loved everything about this place — the beautiful grounds, the charming barn, and the added luxury of the pool and sauna. As a female solo traveler I felt very safe; it was incredibly peaceful, surrounded by woods with bunnies hopping around, which made it feel like a little fairytale escape. The toilets and showers were spotless, which I really appreciated. I haven’t felt this relaxed in a long time. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly and non intruding. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Mi è piaciuto This was a great little find! The camp site has everything you need, the barn ie a great addition if you get a spell of bad weather and also jut great to hang out - we played a few games of pool and used the kitchen facilities. Plenty of space on the pitches, the communal fire pit is ideal to sit around in the evening. We even had a game of badminton in one of the meadows. The swimming pool looked great but we werent brave enough to go in with slightly cooler weather. This site is great and the owners are very helpful - I would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Mi è piaciuto Wow, just wow. The site is beautiful and has everything you need for a good family camp. We chose to stay in the meadow which was private and shaded and lovely and Lloyd (the owner) was very kind and helped us get our heavy things down in the landrover. It is a magical campsite with a great communal area (we call it the clubhouse) which has a fridge and air hockey. What more do you need? To top it all off there’s the sauna and pool. Absolutely brilliant, we only went offsite two out of five days, we were very happy to hang out at the campsite the other days. The moor is very close and when we did venture out we loved the majestic quality of West Mill Tor which we climbed with gusto.
Showers are hot, freezer is cold, toilets are clean, camping ground is flat. We will definitely come back to this camp, no doubt in my mind. Thank you so much Lloyd and Lisle for your hospitality.

Non mi è piaciuto Checking in o arrival just wandering around lost chap freindly enough but a little over bearing. Had tent fire pit (which damaged his grass I know mine we took doesn't) also fire wood forced to buy not useable
