Cosa ne pensano i clienti
Campeggio accogliente e rilassato con proprietari disponibili. Apprezzata la tranquillità, gli spazi ampi e la pulizia dei servizi (bagni e docce). Posizione comoda per villaggi e Canterbury. I pochi bagni/docce sono un limite in alta stagione, ma l'esperienza è molto positiva e molti vorrebbero tornare.

Mi è piaciuto Nice large area to pitch up, close to the city centre, greeted by owners. Toilets sometimes didn’t have toilet roll but owner responded immediately when asked to refill and did so quickly. Be mindful of the entrance to the site as it’s a busy fast road and you may not see the sign but there are areas to turn round if missed.
Non mi è piaciuto Facilities could be improved but I know the owners are working on this. Worth bearing
in mind if with a larger group as it took a long time to get ready to go out with only one shower.

Mi è piaciuto Erg aardige eigenaresse die steeds een praatje kwam maken en ons brandhout en marshmallows gaf. Mooie grote weide met rustige medecampeerders. Genoeg vlakke plaatsen. Op klein half uur fietsen van Canterbury
Non mi è piaciuto In het weekend was het waarschijnlijk vanwege Bank holiday best druk en dan zijn 2 wc's en 1 douche echt te weinig

Dal gestore: We are expanding for next year, we did limit the amount of people this year. We had 2 real toilets and 2 portaloos just so we didn’t have queues. Thank you for staying.

Stayed 3 days with 3 kids…

Mi è piaciuto Stayed 3 days with 3 kids in the end of August. Very convenient location- near Margate and Whistable.
Great for kids - football, badminton and basketball available. The owner every evening was bringing marshmallows for the kids in the whole campsite. Very nice and friendly owner and can give useful advises where to go for the day, where the food is good etc.
The site is not huge , but big enough- has 1 shower , never needed to queue, 2 toilets + 2 chemical toilets, 2 fridges and 1 sink. Everything was always clean and maintained, with washing liquid available if needed and liquid hand soap.
We had a fantastic time as well as the kids - they made friends and played with them. The campsite was quiet, no problems with anything and anyone.
We are planning to come back soon with friends.

Mi è piaciuto We were welcomed by the lovely female owner, who gave us a map of local places to eat and visit. She also came round in the evening and handed out complimentary marshmallows for the fire pit. Thank you!
Lovely, relaxed atmosphere for couples and families. Great proximity to Canterbury. Bus stop 5-10 minute walk.
Football goal and basketball hoop for children.
Toilets and shower regularly cleaned and checked.

Mi è piaciuto We liked that you could choose your own pitch.
The owners were very friendly and offered all of their amenities. We had the fire pit and wood for this delivered to our pitch by the owners.
Each evening we would be offered marshmallows if we had the fire on, this was a lovely touch!
It was a quiet campsite and was not crowded in (bonus).
It was close to all destinations where we needed to go.
For the price, it was perfect for what we needed for the weekend we stayed.
Non mi è piaciuto There is only one shower. This meant that in the mornings where the grass was wet, the shower would get very muddy with lots of people using it.
If you are up early, your chances of using one of the two toilets was higher. However, if it was around 8-9 you could be queuing for the shower or toilets.
They did add two portaloos however, I did not like to use these.

Dal gestore: We are a wild camping site so we only have the basic facilities. You did stay on bank holiday weekend so it was busier than usual. We have full time jobs so it’s very hard to keep on top of the cleaning 24/7. Thank you for staying.

Owners came round with marshmallows for us while we were round our camp fire which was a lovely touch
We did the kent safari walk where the public footpath runs through the middle of howletts zoo, was good to see the elephants & explore the local area, even managed to see a local cricket match too.
