Campeggio ben curato e pulito con ottimi servizi, tra cui bagni e docce moderni, pub, caffetteria e accesso al centro ricreativo. Ospiti apprezzano piazzole spaziose, belle viste e personale cordiale. Policy car-free nel campo apprezzata per la sicurezza. Piccole critiche: carrelli limitati, attese occasionali per i servizi, alcune aree spa datate.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful views, bus stop at end of the drive so easy to access further up the dale and into Grassington.
Non mi è piaciuto Unable to take car onto camping field, travelling on my own with children meant this was extra hard work especially in the rain.
Unable to have BBQ
Only 5 bathroom facilities for all campers- shower/toilet/sink all in same room and there was nowhere to put wash bag down other than the floor.
Expensive to use pool and the only option is £10 for adult- this allows access to spa facilities however when you are on your own with a 6 year old I was unable to experience these as needed to be in pool at all times.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely site, really helpful staff, was great to get up and book in to the leisure centre to have a swim and sauna before going in to skipton for the day. The gamekeepers inn on site served amazing food. Only booked for one night initially as it was all it was showing as available but asked at reception and they let us add on another night no issues. Clean facilities and beautiful grounds, would definitely return.

Mi è piaciuto The calmness, all staff were friendly & helpful, lovely walks in all directions, pub on site was lovely with a small outdoor play area. great location to explore other areas throughout the day. The toilets/shower rooms were immaculate. Didn’t get chance to use the pool/spa or food in the pub but we will definitely be returning and using the pool

Easy to park near the field.
Non mi è piaciuto There are so many flys coming from the lake that the evenings are spoilt as you can’t sit out they are so bad. A mosquito net would be a must if I went back.

Mi è piaciuto The camp site was tidy and well looked after. Toilets and showers were clean and the showers are hot-as-you-like and powerful. The onsite bar/restaurant was nice (we only had drinks though) and the staff were polite and efficient.
Non mi è piaciuto More a personal dislike and maybe someone else’s positive but the location is remote with only one restaurant within walking distance and it is a 20min drive to Skipton where there was more of a selection for dining out in the area.
As noted in other reviews, you have to unpack at the carpark and shift your camping equipment between 20-100m to your chosen/available camping spot. The trollies are available but it does require other campers returning them and we only saw 1, at any one time, ready to be used. When we arrived there wasn’t any available so we carried the camping equipment ourselves which thankfully wasn’t too much of a problem for us (small tent, 2 chairs, 2 roll mats, 2 sleeping backs etc).
Other campers were a little loud in the morning chatting from 6ish but this was obviously them being the problem and we weren’t going to make a fuss about it as we were only there for the one night.
The above are all minor dislikes and did not disrupt our overall view of a well run, tidy, clean and value-for-money camping location.

Mi è piaciuto Great pitches, a lot of flat ground to choose from and the car park being separate was great especially being that they provided trolleys to get your gear to your pitch. Food from the cafe was delicious and coffee was good too. Was nice that my husband who signed us in was greeted in the morning by his name too a really personal touch!

It was our first time camping…

Mi è piaciuto It was our first time camping so with us not living far from here we gave this a try. Literally bought a tent at 11am from Go Outdoors in York on Saturday and had it pitched here by 4pm haha.
Great facilities
Non mi è piaciuto I would have liked to be able to park the car next to the tent but I guess I should have read into more detail beforehand.
