Campeggio "selvaggio" molto apprezzato per relax e natura con viste mozzafiato. Proprietari cordiali, prezzi onesti, scelta piazzola. Servizi essenziali ma puliti. Ideale per escursioni nel Peak District, vicino a pub e Bakewell. Qualche piazzola in pendenza e rotolo carta igienica da portare.

Mi è piaciuto Loved this campsite, very grassroots camping vibe couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere for getting back to basics. The guy who runs it is lovely comes round daily with wood for the fire pits very affordable. Cannot speak highly enough of this place will definitely be coming back and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to do some wild camping

Mi è piaciuto Great views, lovely wild campsite our 2nd trip here, great basic amenities like toilets and a sink to wash pots etc, the owner comes around selling wood for your firepit, love it, we will certainly be back !

Mi è piaciuto The rope-swing and hammock in the wooded enclosure was a nice surprise. We found a quiet corner although slightly uneven (just like our garden) facilities were exactly as stated. Even though it was fairly popular (including with a large group of younger converted van campers) everyone was very respectful and calm after about 10pm (unlike the campsite up the road); the gentle strums of an acoustic guitarists around a campfire helped lull my daughter to sleep

Sadly there were no other children were in our side of the field, which can't be helped and we missed the ice cream van, as were still tryna carry my daughter home from the Lathkill hotel and escape yappy farmhouse dogs!

Mi è piaciuto I liked the wild camping element where there was just toilets and water. I had a beautiful view over Lathkill Dale in my microcamper over the very sunny May bank holiday.
The second day it became very busy and I was expecting a lot of noise, but there was none, and everyone was quiet and respectful.
I walked the mile to Over Haddon the first day, admiring the stunning views, and had a drink and meal overlooking the dale.
Neil the owner of the site, and was very helpful, recommended the circular walk through Lathkill Dale, which was a spectacular walk through a forest, past a river and small waterfalls. Take the left turning out of the site and walk half a mile to Mill Farm to start the walk and follow the pathway to Over Haddon and back to the campsite. It’s well worth it.

Mi è piaciuto Loads of space, beautiful scenery and was lovely to see the lambs. Toilets clean but a bit drafty on the nether regions. Bring own loo roll. Really quiet, peaceful and beautiful spot to chill and unwind.
Non mi è piaciuto The drafty toilets, bearable in nice weather, if not quite refreshing but at night time was a bit of shock to the system.

Mi è piaciuto Very pleasant quiet site, just above the wonderful Lathkill limestone gorge. Nice and simple, informal. Good to be able to have a camp fire.
Non mi è piaciuto Loos and washing up area is very basic, not too clean. We happened to have some very noisy neighbours till the early hours which was not pleasant, though not the fault of the site.
