What customers say
A peaceful, basic wild campsite with stunning views of the Derbyshire countryside. Guests appreciated the freedom to choose their pitch, the clean facilities, and the friendly, helpful owner. Fire pits are available to hire. While some found the site slopes and basic facilities (no showers or dishwashing) a drawback, most felt it offered great value for money and a relaxing escape. It is well-located for walking and a short drive from Bakewell.

I liked the pitch and the…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked I liked the pitch and the field it was a nice quiet area, until the second night, the 4th July when a big group was quite loud until around 12.30am, which was quite annoying to people who was sleeping or wanting to sleep.
Disliked I didn’t not dislike anything, I believe it would be better to add showers as you’ve got a water pipe and a couple of showers would be ideal, just keep some cleaning stuff there etc some cheap bottles of bleach etc. the grass was a bit long could’ve been cut beforehand but it didn’t ruin anything just a minor thing.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The location was fantastic & setup where we liked was great. The toilets were better than we thought. There is even sinks to wash your pots. The owner was informative for some local walks. Will definitely be back!
Disliked The grass was long but understandable with all the hot weather. Dogs running around & coming into our tent when cooking.
