Popular, no-frills campsite for a true wild camping feel with great views. Enjoy freedom to pick your spot, a peaceful vibe, and helpful owners. Basic but clean loos and tap. Good for walks, near Bakewell. Some pitches are sloped, BYO loo roll & soap.

Loved it all! Lovely grass pitch…
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Loved it all! Lovely grass pitch where you find your own spot which is great! Fire pit provided and the gent comes round to see if you need any wood or you can message the number and he gets you sorted! Toilets clean and toilet roll was provided, views are incredible and we also got a lovely wake up call on the first night by some cows that took a liking to our van and decided to rub against it.
It is literally the definition of being in the middle of nowhere and it was perfect!

Back to basics wild camp site in beautiful countryside
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Back to basics, wild camp site in the middle of the beautiful peaks above Bakewell, with everything you need and nothing you don’t.
Pick a spot, pitch your tent/van, crack open a drink and relax. Or wander in to Over Haddon for a drink/bite.
Toilets are clean, there’s water available and the lovely people that run the site pop round with fire pits, wood and even marshmallows!
The views from the site are lovely and it’s peaceful!
Disliked Nothing!! It’s a delightfully basic, wild camp site.

Would definitely come again.
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked We much prefer the ‘almost wild camping’ to a proper campsite, and for us this was just the thing. It’s not far from Bakewell, a nice little town for a few hours out. It was quite a busy campsite as we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night, but nice and quiet with everyone seeming to enjoy themselves without being rowdy. We would use this site again.
Disliked Considering the amount of people on site, perhaps three toilets isn’t quite enough.

We had a field to ourselves…
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked We had a field to ourselves as there weren't many other campers so really felt like wild camping. Amazing views and really peaceful, we only stayed for 1 night but would have stayed for longer if we had been able.
The campsite owner we met was really welcoming, will definitely stay again and have already recommended to friends.
