Kedvelték We had an incredible time at Shepherds Views Campsite! From the moment we arrived, the staff were outstanding — available 24/7, warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. One staff member in particular went above and beyond, making sure everything was perfect for us.
The site itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. What made it even more special was how accommodating they were to our dogs — they were truly welcomed, and we found some fantastic local walks right on the doorstep, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for a peaceful, well-run campsite with exceptional service and a dog-friendly vibe, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back!

Kedvelték Pitch size was generous with plenty of space between pitches. Site was really quiet and peaceful. We were greeted warmly.

The WIFI is available by reception, with us being in a rural area it isn't strong enough to cover the whole of the campsite

Kedvelték Good size pitches, service pitch good.

Nem kedvelték Facilities were dated and only 4 toilets and 2 showers for 84 pitches. Better facilities would be a bonus.
Pitches are not level so require levelling blocks for wheels and steadies.
Chemical waste and fresh water was at entrance gate so a good walk if you are at the top of the site. We were on service pitch so only empting the toilet was an issue so we used the car to do

On the date you stayed we had less than 5 guests on site, We do have two shower and toilet blocks which means we have more than enough toilets and showers for when the site is full, Both showers and toilet blocks are in full use when site is busy. We are a small site with 82 pitches. 9 toilets 9 showers are more than the legal requirement for the size of our site.
The site was quiet when you stayed meaning only one of the shower and toilet blocks where open, in this block we have four toilets and three showers.
We have over 12 drinking water taps dotted around site, one of these taps is located by reception, the rest of the taps are very close to all other pitches meaning drinking water is easily accessible for all campers.
The chemical waste point is located by reception which was around 200 metres from the top of site.

Kedvelték Loved the set up at Shepherds View. Good electrical supply on the Electric Grass Tent pitch. The area surrounding the pitch was ample with grass for the tent and gravel to park the car. Superbly looked after and Rachel was extremely pleasant and helpful

No staff members where rude at all during your stay, we all welcomed you and tried to assist you as much as we possibly could, the weather on your arrival was torrential rain. You rang and spoke to another staff member regarding buying something from the shop in which we assisted you with straight away, our shop is fully stocked with essential items, including spare tent pegs in which you did purchase from us. I am unsure on what you needed in which we didn't stock.
We stock all essential items from spare camping equipment, to snacks, drinks, and games.
We spoke to you on the day of your arrival as you had driven round the one-way system the wrong way round and blocked the entrance in which you informed us you were soaked, in which you parked on a guests pitch outside their caravan.
The campsite grounds are very well maintained, none of our grass pitches have stones on and the ground was very soft due to the weather.
Our toilet block photos are on pitch up before booking and are in full working order.
The staff member in which assisted you in the shop was helpful and tried to assist you as much as possible, i have reviewed the footage from your visit.
You didn't stay overnight on site, you packed up and left within a couple of hours of being here, due to the fact that your tent collapsed, it is completely out of our control if your camping equipment fails, you also left you tent behind in our rubbish bins. You didn't inform any members off staff regarding any issues or as to why you were leaving. The weather is completely out of our control, I feel as if this review has been left due to the weather on your arrival.

Kedvelték Family run site who are always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Beach is literally 5/10 min drive and site is clean and well maintained

Kedvelték Tidy pitches and well kept grounds.
The young lady on reception couldn't do enough to help. She was friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to try and help sort a few issues we had. Toilets were clean, especially the new toilet/shower block.

Nem kedvelték Toilet rolls wernt topped up enough especially when the pitches wernt full, we still had to go from toilet to toilet to find loo roll.
No reception opening times on reception door and we had to telephone each time we wanted to see someone as they seemed to be always closed.

Toilet rolls are checked regularly unfortunately i cant get into the toilets when people are using them, I refill and check them as regularly as possible. If you had came across toilets without toilet roll, if you had informed me of this i could have rectified it for you straight away.
Reception opening times are informed to you on arrival, on the door it also states its open till 7pm and if no one is in reception to call the number on the door, I have several other jobs to do in and around site meaning reception cant be manned at all times, but i am always available via the phone.

We do have two showers and toilet blocks, both are in full use during busy periods, both showers and toilet blocks have full working facilities.
In regards to one of the shower blocks needing updating, all facilities are in full working order and are cleaned to a high standard, up to date photos of our facilities are on pitch up.
If you had advised me of any of the issues you experienced during your stay i would have been able to rectify the issue sooner.
The washing up area has full running hot water, we had an issue in which it tripped out during your stay, it was rectified as soon as i was made aware.
