A aimé Lovely quiet site. Well Laid out with plenty of space. Facilities good , but a bit basic, but had all you need. Pub across the road (The Wharf Tavern) was very busy, but the food was excellent, some of the best we have had recently. Sharron was very helpful and even though she was fully booked for Sunday Lunch, she managed to squeeze us in. Stunning sunset one night.

A aimé good location, right on the banks of the River Wye. good clean facilites, even though the showers were open-air. Even had a well-stocked honesty shop, which stocked loads of stuff, a very welcome addition as there is no shop near.

A aimé good well organised site. facilites are great and spotlessly clean. right next to River with a walk there

N'a pas aimé Just a shame that the pub has been closed for a few years.

A aimé Good, clean facilities. Good sized pitch with electric and water near.

A aimé Brilliant views of Snowdonia. Sloping pitch, but used levellers. Good facilities. Never saw the owners at all.

N'a pas aimé Didn't see any staff during our stay.

A aimé Well laid out, with good sized pitches. Plenty of space for the dog to have a good run. Good friendly welcome. Facilities were very good, toilet, wash basin and shower, all together with plenty of space. Brilliant sunsets.

N'a pas aimé The only slight suggestion, was maybe the steps to the toilets were a little too steep.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Hi Rosemary, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your level pitch, our facilities, and the food in the pub. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the grass side of the pitch. That's a very helpful point. All future welcome letters will now state that the main door of your touring vehicle, should always be on the right hand side It was a pleasure having you stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back again soon. Warm regards Peter, Kiki & Team

A aimé good sized pitches. just a little bit on the slope. good clean facilities.

A aimé Good sized pitches, very well laid out. Facilities very good. Good views down to the coast.

N'a pas aimé Be very careful which way you approach. Some of the lanes are very narrow and lots of sharp bends.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for the wonderful review , so very much appreciated. We do provide great directions for good route to site , not sure if you followed this. Best wishes Jenny & the team

A aimé Well organised pitches and spacious. Good clean facilities. Good pub with good food.

N'a pas aimé Would have preferred not to be under the trees. Local public footpaths are not good, but that is nothing to do with the Campsite.

A aimé Good sized pitched. Good, clean facilities, including a dog wash!! Right next to the river, and a pub just across the bridge. Good area for walking.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you so much for your kind words, Rosemary! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the pitch, the clean facilities and the little extras like the dog wash. It’s great to hear the riverside location and nearby pub added to your stay. We loved having you with us and can’t wait to welcome you back soon for another relaxing visit!

A aimé Friendly and very helpful owner, Joan. Very quiet and peaceful. Small site as described. Facilities basic (as described) but always clean. Great location, in the middle of nowhere. Great views. walks all around, to Dufton Pike and the other way to Appleby. Could do longer if you wanted. Pub see below, but there were two others 1 or 2 miles away.

N'a pas aimé Could do with another toilet for busy times. One downside was the pub, which seems to open when the landlord feels like it. He was not very welcoming at all. It was only open two nights out of our four, and he wasn't serving food. Bank Holiday weekend, what custom was he missing out on !!

A aimé Nice, quiet site. Roomy pitches, but felt a little close to each other. Good clean facilites. Mike was always on hand and visible. Shame about the level of water in the river as it was too low to fish.

A aimé Although the site is sloping, the pitches were fairly level, the whole site is terraced. Good, clean facilities. On a very busy country lane. Pub next door was very busy.

A aimé Good sized pitches, well spaced out. Level even though some vans seemed to use levellers. Good space for the dog to run free. Really felt in the middle of nowhere.

A aimé Friendly welcome. Well laid out, level and spacious pitches (only six). Good clean facilities. Excellent shower. Pub on site with good food and plenty of it. Lovely atmosphere. Local walk along the river. Bonus was a small bowling green where we were welcomed by local members.
