A aimé The site layout is excellent - some private areas, an adult only area, well kept grounds and pretty flowers in boxes at the entrance. Barney's grill is a good idea - only really burgers on offer - but its possible to order pastries and the shop is well stocked. The dog walk is great (if only the selfish owners would pick.up after their dogs 🐾🙄). The larger bathroom was spacious and clean and never seemed to be busy. Laundry operated by card is a great idea. There are lovely dog walks off the site too - especially into the woods in this hot weather. I don't fish - but the pond was lovely to look at. The lady at reception on arrival was lovely. The lady cleaning the large block.was friendly and after I mentioned there was no mop or squeegy to wipe the shower floor in the small block a mop and bucket appeared 🙏✨️ Lovely trees around the site for much needed shade Plenty of bins Fresh water Chem loo disposal points

N'a pas aimé No soap.in the small bathroom for 3 days (Sat to Mon) - I did tell Reception No toilet roll in the first cubicle on Saturday night/ Sunday morning (the site was full so not surprising surely)? The teenagers ignoring signs to stay off the dog walk in their bikes and an "adults only" sign - as nobody was checking I.spoke to them (parents .... hello!) The stink from the cesspit when it was emptied on Friday afternoon - but there is never a good time for maintenance!!

A aimé The accessibility to this site is good - no twisty narrow lanes to negotiate. The welcome from Mark and Kim was super personal, warm and engaging - they explained everything clearly, filled up my clean water and apologised for the "work in progress" The shower (single) in the ladies was clean and accessible. The two toilets were clean. There are static homes onsite - but the occupants don't use the facilities - so they are adequate. I LOVED the woodland area to walk the dog - she loved it too. It's lovely and natural with primroses flowering at the moment They have free laundry facilities- massive plus but I was only one night so didn’t use them. They have full amps electricity and hard standing pitches which are spacious for a motorhome (but I don't have an awning addition)

N'a pas aimé The site is a work in progress under new management - they have recently laid new type 1 but the base hardcore is full of "junk" which Mark and Kim (only appointed this week) are trying to clear - this didnt spoil my stay - but people should be aware. The pub isn't open yet - but should be soon. The landscaping isn't complete - but they have plans to plant hedges etc I got a WiFi code - but the router signal doesnt reach the pitches

A aimé Super site. Lovely and clean. Great facilities. Lovely warm welcome from the ladies on Reception. Very convenient location. Dog walking was easy.

Hard standing - flat Good space to the side of the pitches The cleanliness of the shower/toilet block (but see below) Easy access from motorway Shepherds huts and little wooden pods - nice for non camping friends

N'a pas aimé Cold showers!!!! In the morning at 8 - the block was warm and dry. Between 8 and 10 some idiot opened the window so when I went for a shower the building was freezing - wasting the heating which was trying to reach 18°C again Got in the shower and .... no hot water ... vaguely tepid initially - then cold. Really a let down on the whole experience.

A aimé Welcome was friendly and informative. We discussed what appliances I had on board which might not work as the site has 6A electricity and my motorhome is 16A so I was reassured and not madevto feel dumb. The gentleman came and showed me where to park and put planks under my wheels as it was soggy after the biblical volume of rain 🌧 He explained about the solar and wind turbine - I am interested in such things - one of the reasons I chose the site. The grass was beautiful (albeit it wet) and the site was beautifully kept. I loved that I could walk the dog out of the gate and let her run free - very close to Kielder Forest - super!!

A aimé It's a big site - but each pitch has plenty of space. The new toilet and shower block are lovely - hot water and spacious showers. The old toilet block is cute ... made of cedar so smells gorgeous - like a sauna! Being close to the pub is super if you don't feel like cooking Walks to the playing field or even river are directly opposite the site - so great for dogs. The staff were friendly and check in was easy The mop in the shower so I could dry the floor after me WiFi was everywhere - very useful

N'a pas aimé The stupid gate locking system! Security is important - but the lock chain is too short and was impossible to rotate the numbers - it was broken several times at the weekend. Insufficient soap in the ladies toilet for such a busy weekend. The water taps need an attachment (going to buy a selection of my own as every site is different!!) The lazy guests who can't clean a toilet after them, pick up tissues off the floor or keep things looking nice - have some respect people

The gate lock has been replaced, we now have copious amounts of soap and we will replace the tap attachments that have been accidentally taken by previous guests. We hope to see you again soon.
