Boatside Caravan and Camping

A aimé Really lovely site that's beautifully maintained, with amazing views and a lovely riverside walk. It was a great place to park the camper van, and everything was peaceful and well looked after. We had an amazing weekend and would definitely come back!

N'a pas aimé Just a couple of little things stopped it from being perfect: the bins were overflowing at times, and the hand towel in the bathroom wasn't hygienic at all. Maybe a paper towel dispenser or another better solution would be more suitable. Apart from that, we had a really enjoyable stay and would happily visit again.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the bins weren’t emptied regularly enough during your visit. We’ll make sure to keep on top of this to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

We have previously provided paper towels in the toilets, but unfortunately they often ended up on the floor rather than in the bins, creating additional mess. As a result, we use hand towels, which are changed regularly throughout the day to maintain cleanliness.

We’re also delighted to let you know that work is currently underway on a brand-new shower facility, which will be completed before the end of July. This will include four additional showers, including a family shower, as well as a dedicated vanity and hygiene wash area to further improve our facilities.

We do have a quiet period policy in place and ask all guests to be considerate of others. However, unless we are made aware of any excessive noise during your stay, we aren’t able to address the issue at the time. Our team is always happy to investigate and speak to those involved if we’re notified.

A aimé Great site with very friendly owners, really peaceful and relaxed and lots of birds flying about to watch as you relax. Really clear sky for stargazing in the evening.

Facilities were absolutely spotless and there's great honesty fridge that is well stocked with the essentials and some luxuries. Pitches were really well spaced out, so when others were listening to music it didn't bother us at all. We will definitely be back!

N'a pas aimé Electric grass pitches are a little odd - we were in front of a static caravan not being used for the weekend. Not a problem at all, we had plenty of space and it was a great location, but is worth mentioning.

Our campsite layout is a little different from a traditional site where pitches are arranged in rows and guests are allocated a fixed space that they must stay within. We offer a much more flexible approach, which many of our guests enjoy.

We mainly operate as a seasonal pitch campsite, so during our busiest weekends, if one of our seasonal caravans is unoccupied, we may allocate touring guests a pitch in front of that caravan. This allows us to make the best use of the available space while still ensuring everyone has a comfortable stay.

We appreciate your comments and hope this helps explain why the site may have felt different from a more traditional campsite. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.

A aimé This was our second visit and we plan to make this our annual trip. We chose to try out the teepee tent this time. So spacious and great value for money, took the stress out of setting up our tent and extra fun for the kids. The kids and adults all had a great time. The kids could just run and play in the field, we took outdoor games and there was lots of space. The adults could relax and just watch the kids have fun. The kids loved the honesty fridge, ice cream was a firm favourite. Spotlessly clean and everything you needed for a relaxed camping trip. Haven’t stopped telling friends and family about it!!

A aimé Lovely site, great amenities, very clean and very well maintained. Loved the honesty pantry, always well stocked and thoughtfully considered items.

Location next to River Wye is just wonderful.

Everyone we met were super friendly.

N'a pas aimé A few more showers would be ideal. Usually not a British problem… until there’s a heatwave 😎 camping area is quite open with limited shade for pitches.
