Beautiful scenery

N'a pas aimé If you want remote, then be prepared for a bit of a challenging drive.
Toilets/shower are the most basic I’ve experienced but clean.
No phone service but WiFi is free although a bit hit and miss
Stayed here to get the turntable ferry to Skye, unfortunately it broke down the day I arrived 😢

A aimé Great location for us to stop over one night as we were travelling through to Dunvegan. There is a small ferry about 15 minutes from the camp site that takes you to Isle of Skye.
It is very remote so bring any essentials with you. The shower was in a converted container so very basic but we had a Motorhome so didn’t need to use the facilities.
Considering the campsite was ‘out in the sticks’ the Wi-Fi was the best we have experienced in all of Scotland so far!
We loved the peace and tranquility of the site… although we did have a chuckle when the local fire brigade rocked up on the evening to carry out their weekly training on site! 🤣

N'a pas aimé Unfortunately, we were ultimately unable to stay at this campsite, although our pitch had been fully paid for. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I contacted the campsite in advance to ask whether cancellation might be possible, but I never received any response to my email.

The pitch was subsequently rented out again. This means that the campsite received payment twice for the same pitch, while I received no response or any form of consideration. It is particularly disappointing that there was no communication or willingness to discuss the situation.

Réponse du gestionnaire : We try our best to accommodate guests cancelling bookings but we have a strict cancellation policy in place ,I have offered to you to transfer booking to another date.

I’m Very disappointed that you have given the site 1/10 because you have not stayed with us.

A aimé A nice quiet no fuss campsite in a lovely location. You just let yourself in and pick a pitch. Clean toilets and a shower for any campervans which aren't self-contained or those that want a bit more space than on-board showers. Also facilities for grey waste and chemical toilet disposal.

No phone signal but there was WiFi which I had no issues with. Some had trouble connecting but think they just got the casing of the password wrong. Check the sign at the entrance for the clearest instructions.

N'a pas aimé These are all minor things. Toilets were a little cramped, but still usable (I am 6ft for reference). Similar in space to the ones on an airliner I would say. There is only one shower so there can be a queue sometimes.

As mentioned, all minor stuff though to be expected of a smaller site, and happy to deal with that for the quieter environment and scenary.

The only major thing really was the bin was overflowing when I arrived and there was probably another bin full piled up when I left. Looked like some hadn't bothered to sort their rubbish though and there was plenty of space in the recycling bins.

A aimé View to die for. Basic facilities but clean and lovely hot shower. Wifi put the expensive campsites to shame. Friendly owner ( shame I didn't meet Ronny, only spoke on phone).

A aimé Flexibility with arrival late. Quiet area in remote part of Scotland. Useful jumping off point for for Skye and west coast.
