Secret Spot Camping

A aimé Absolutely love this campsite! They’ve thought of everything, making it a real little Devon gem. The site is beautifully maintained, welcoming, and has everything you could want for a relaxing stay.

N'a pas aimé The only slight downside for us is that we’d ideally love to stay in the top fields, as they feel a little nicer and have a better view. Unfortunately, as we have a dog, we’re not allowed to stay there.

A aimé This was our first camping holiday since we got married and we have found a real gem. Our criteria for camping this summer wasn’t much but flat ground, good toilets, dog friendly and close to the beach. Secret Spot Camping delivered on all accounts… and more! Not only are the toilets and showers great (cleaned daily WITH loo roll and hand soap provided - big win!) but the pitches are super spacious and they even go above with the offering of a lush communal ‘campers shelter’ for everyone to use with fridges, freezes, washing up facilities, kettles and sofas for when you just want to step away from the tent and sit with a cuppa in a normal chair 😊 the site is only 15 mins drive from Braunton Sands Beach and 5 mins from the town centre so nothing is out of reach. The owners were very helpful and chatty and the beautiful gardens were a lovely addition to walk through every morning. We will definitely look at returning to Secret Spot in the future 🩷

A aimé Great location for the coast. Lovely, open fields so lots of space. Amazing extras such as use of an indoor kitchen, lounge, seating areas and fire pit.
Very friendly and helpful owners.

A aimé Just back from 3 nights at this lovely venue, first class time was had by all. Lovely spot, nice flat pitches and good facilities, always clean and even in high season we never had to queue for the showers or toilets. The Campers Hut and all its facilities (kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, freezer etc) is a lovely touch and surrounded by beautiful gardens for all to enjoy. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and highly knowledgable about the local area. Love this place, will be back for more of the same.

A aimé The beautiful "Secret Garden" - a little haven of peace and contemplation. Well-maintained and spotlessly clean showers, toilets and washing up area. Flat pitches. Campers' kitchen with fridge and freezer, and bad-weather shelter. Attentive and helpful hosts. Easy to find and access the site. In hot weather there are some shady pitches, though not enough for everyone. For surfers it's an ideal location at a good price.

N'a pas aimé Although the garden has the atmosphere of being set apart from the world, the reality is the site is only 500m from the edge of Braunton with the attendant traffic noise when the wind is in the wrong direction. Also, I did not enjoy the neighbouring farmer letting off his shotgun repeatedly at 7 each morning in pursuit of pigeons and rabbits. Although our hosts rather patronisingly dismissed it as "sounds of the country" (I wasn't complaining, I was just asking where the shooting was most likely to happen so we could choose a pitch as far away from it as possible) I've never had that experience on any other campsite, and at age 63 I've stayed on quite a few.

A aimé Excellent facilities, bathrooms and showers were really clean all the time and the kitchen is very handy. Great site intro on arrival. A lovely site, great location with lots nearby to explore (you do need to drive around but we enjoyed it) - highly recommend.

N'a pas aimé Communication ahead of arrival was a little challenging but was all fine once we were there.

A aimé Excellent facilities, very clean, helpful owners and nice friendly vibe on site - we were in the family field and our kids made lots of friends. Lots of space to play.
Walking through Braunton Burrows to Saunton Sands was glorious - and we virtually had the beach to ourselves.

N'a pas aimé Only downside is you need to drive to a nearby car park to get to the beach if you don't want to walk along the narrow road.

A aimé Low key, beautiful spot. So many personal thoughtful touches and a beautiful garden with cute hang out spots. Very clean, quiet and relaxed

A aimé Really liked the queit, paceful location, the grounds & gardens including a bridge over a fish pond.

The toilets & showers were great & well kept.
