St Hilary Campsite

A aimé We loved how quiet the site was. No light pollution during the night.
The owners were superb hosts, caring and thoughtful. The cafe on site was fantastic, great coffee, tea and home made cakes. The pizza in the evening with freshly made dough was fantastic. A lovely weekend with wonderful walking and farm camping facilities which we loved.

N'a pas aimé There was nothing we disliked. Bigger campervans would struggle down the lane.

A aimé Lovely owners. Very friendly and helpful.
Showers, toilets and washing up area spot on.
The site itself was tucked away and very peaceful.
Cafe with tea/coffees and home made cakes (delicious)

A aimé The hosts were incredibly welcoming and very proud of their site. They also championed the local area and see real potential in what their gorgeous site can become. They should also be very proud of what it already is.
The butterfly farm is well worth a look in (pre book) and the cafe on site probably has the best pizza around. Oh and the milkshakes are dangerously good.

The site itself is simple, a very slight slope but flatter than most sites I’ve stayed in and I slept very well.

The facilities are good. The lot wash station is just right and the shower block is set up in the stable building. They kept the stable aesthetic which I thought was really cool.

N'a pas aimé I didn’t dislike anything, but people read this bit and it’s worth mentioning some things.

The site is growing, currently it’s an amazing hidden spot in a county that’s a tourist hotspot. The road in is a little bumpy, that’s ok. There isn’t a pool and a karaoke night. If that’s what you’re after you may need to look elsewhere.

It’s the kind of campsite that I went to as a kid. The kind of site that got me excited about going outdoors, under canvas. These sites are rare and should be cherished.

A aimé Amazing stay!
We had a fantastic time at this campsite and can't wait to come back. The location was beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and well away from the noise of everyday life. Our site was clean, spacious, and easy to set up on.
The facilities exceeded our expectations — everything was well-maintained and clearly cared for. The staff were friendly, helpful, and quick to answer any questions we had. It felt like a place where the owners genuinely care about giving guests a great experience.

A aimé AMAZING!! Can not give this camp site enough praise we went camping with our 2 children 9 & 6 the camp site it’s self is beautiful right next to fields with horses there is a beautiful butterfly house that is amazing and home made pizzas from the site cafe along with home made milk shakes all 10/10 toilets and showers are very clean and tidy like brand new and just to top it off the owners are beyond amazing always there to help with any and everything make you feel so comfortable feels like staying with family we will definitely be back again

Lovely small quiet campsite.
Clean facilities, great showers with plenty of hot water.
Cafe on site with amazing pizzas.
Mark and Jayne really lovely hosts.
We'll be back to stay again!

A aimé My friends and I had a lovely time camping at St Hilary’s campsite. The campsite has great washroom facilities that were kept clean and stocked. The washing up area was so convenient. The owners were so warm and accommodating, showed us around the facilities and were always available to offer a helping hand. Would definitely come back.
