A aimé This is an absolute gem of a place⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, beautiful views, not only are Jan and her husband great hosts but the compositing toilet and shower changing room are immaculately kept. The shower is super hot and not on a rubbish timer like other campsites so you can have a lovely shower looking up through the clear corrugated roof in the sunshine ☀️ this spot is just fab in a great location, gurnard is a lovely spot near by to watch the boats and sea views…. Please do not abuse this amazing place, it’s definitely eco chic! ♥️

This stay was myself, my husband and dog in our campervan but I would feel comfortable staying here if I was on my own in the van 👍 we intend to return !!!! Thankyou for our lovely stay 🙏

N'a pas aimé Really nothing to dislike … there is a road nearby / at the entrance but traffic in the evening post 9 is pretty non existent so don’t be alarmed!!!!

A aimé Lovely small, quiet campsite in a great location. Nicest compost loos I've ever experienced and great, spacious shower room with benches, hooks, mirror etc - really beautifully and thoughtfully created. Jan is lovely, came onto the site to greet us and check we had all we needed - we'd forgotten our camping table and before we knew it, one was set up for us! We were using our camper van but we took a peek in the empty bell tents and they looked beautiful. Jan really cares about this site and has some great plans for making it even better! Thoroughly recommend this site. Sarah-Jo & Kev

Your lovely comments about our compost toilets and shower room mean a lot, as we tried to create facilities that are comfortable while still being environmentally friendly. I'm also glad we could help with the camping table – it's the little things that can make a stay more enjoyable!

Thank you for taking the time to look around our bell tents too. We're excited about the plans we have for The Hydeaway over the coming months, and it's lovely to know you can see the potential.

Thank you also for your helpful feedback. I'm sorry the shower drainage wasn't quite right during your visit, but I'm pleased to say it was sorted straight away, so hopefully future guests won't experience the same issue.

I completely understand that compost toilets aren't everyone's preference, although we do our best to make them as comfortable, clean and pleasant as possible. As for our neighbouring farmer's cow, I'm sorry it disturbed your sleep! Country life can sometimes be a little more vocal than expected, and unfortunately that's one thing beyond our control.

I'm glad I could help with charging your phone, and thank you again for your kind words. I hope we'll have the opportunity to welcome you back to The Hydeaway in the future.

A aimé We had one of the two camper van pitches (non hookup). Very quiet location. Much of the site is left to nature with a lovely meadow and the grass and wild flowers left to grow between the pitches. Great shower.

A aimé Friendly, tidy and peaceful. Not a place for people who want hot tubs, activities, entertainment etc, but perfect if you want a nice, peaceful meadow with a pleasant view and very welcoming owner.

A aimé Very attentive host, the bedding provided was excellent addition and kids enjoyed playing in the open space.
An easy off the grid experience ideal for both organised and not organised camping enthusiasts.
The shower space was spacious for a family and had plenty of hot water am or pm time.

N'a pas aimé Exiting from the parking space into the main road has limited visibility
