N'a pas aimé Not able to walk on roads into Bridgenorth as too busy. Meant we were stuck on site as Campervan was too big to park in Bridgenorth , so left after 1 night.

Thank you for your feedback and for mentioning our friendly staff.

As we are situated in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, footpaths can be limited, and walking into Bridgnorth does involve country roads which may not suit everyone.

With regard to parking in Bridgnorth, we’re sorry you experienced difficulties, but unfortunately, parking restrictions in town are outside of our control and not related to our campsite. Many guests find local taxis a good option if their motorhome is too large for the town centre.

As you have a larger than normal Motorhome, could I make a suggestion that you take more time to plan your next trip in terms of where you can and cannot walk/ drive, as I feel your score of 4/10 is unfair as it has nothing to do with our actual campsite

A aimé The pub, the food, the location, warm welcome from the staff. Good faculties. The use of the field for a dog walk really helpful.

N'a pas aimé The dog kennel near to the site. Dogs barking and howling most of the night into the early hours. Unfortunately did not get much sleep. Such a shame as everything else was so good.

A aimé Easy to book the site clean and peaceful (except for the dogs sometimes but didn't bother us).
The beer and food was good.
The only thing that could make it better is to do breakfast and a Sunday carvery as you already have the market for it with the campsite.
The visit was great and staff very helpful a Big THANKYOU

N'a pas aimé Food options for vegetarians in the pub was poor.

Regarding the location, we’re aware that PitchUp’s map pin can sometimes be slightly out, but our directions and postcode are correct, and we’re working with them to make sure this is clearer. We really appreciate your comments and hope we can welcome you back again soon.

A aimé Small friendly site, smallish pitches some with water - lovely pub with great food
Handy for Bridgenorth, 35 mins from Black Country Museum and Ironbridge.

N'a pas aimé There are stables and a hunt yard next door, so you do hear the dogs barking, but didn't really bother us.

We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of our site, the pub food, and our convenient location for exploring Bridgnorth, the Black Country Museum, and Ironbridge.

We are blessed to be in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, though of course this does bring with it the sounds of the country. We appreciate you noting the stables and hunt yard nearby — the dogs are part of that setting, and while they can occasionally be heard, we’re pleased to know it didn’t affect your stay.

A aimé Good location, tidy, showers good loads of hot water, this site is not to everyone’s taste… it’s small & cramped when full.. we struggled with twin axle to put it on the pitch… Great mid week when it’s emptyish….

N'a pas aimé Dogs on farm next door barked & howled at a LOT….the entrance to needs better signage…. Don’t go through car park !!!!!…& car OR awning with van at pitch…£30 Monday to Thursday £35 weekends

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay with us. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed our location, tidy facilities, and the plentiful hot water in the showers.

We do appreciate your comments about the size of the site. Being a smaller, more rustic campsite does mean things can feel a little tighter when we are full. You didn’t mention when booking that you would be bringing a twin-axle caravan, which can understandably make pitching more challenging on our site.

Your point on signage is also noted — we are currently reviewing how best to improve this to make arrivals clearer and easier.

Regarding the neighbouring farm dogs, we are sorry for any disturbance this may have caused. While this is unfortunately outside of our control, we will keep monitoring the situation and raise concerns where possible.

A aimé Great site. Shower block, toilets and wash up area were clean and well kept. EHU was perfect for our needs. Nice traditional pub on site with friendly and welcoming hosts. Will definately return. Thank you
