喜欢 location was beautiful, peter is an absolute delight and nothing is too much trouble. pub is so warm, welcoming and comfortable. we didnt eat there but everyone eating said the food was delicious so will definitely stay again and have food next time . pitch, toilets and shower block exceptionally clean. cant wait to stay again. thank you!!

喜欢 Super site. Easy access, good pitch size, convenient EHU and water at the pitch.
Lovely pub attached - friendly staff and locals and superb food choices.

Water points for each pitch

不喜欢 Shower and toilet block needs updating and cleaning was not to a good standard. No toilet roll most of the time.
Pitches too close together. Grass needed cutting.
Everywhere just needed tidying up. Dog poo around site.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for highlighting the convenient location of the site and the individual water points on the pitches.

We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We do take comments regarding the toilet and shower facilities seriously. We already have additional toilet roll dispensers on order for the shower block, which should help ensure toilet roll is more readily available.

With regard to the grass, we would just clarify that the site had been cut the week before your stay, so we’re a little surprised by this comment. We do our best to keep the grounds maintained, although keeping on top of a large site can sometimes be challenging, particularly at this time of year.

We’re also disappointed to hear your comments about dog waste. We have a dedicated dog waste bin on site and clear signs asking guests to use it, so unfortunately we can only encourage owners to take responsibility and use the facilities provided.

Thank you again for your feedback. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention and will continue to work hard to maintain and improve the site for all our guests.

喜欢 Quiet. Adult only. Nice family run pub. Vegan food on request.

不喜欢 Pitches are quite small. Noise at night from dogs on the neighbours farm (sounded like the Hounds of the Baskervilles)

喜欢 Only 1 shower cubicle but was clean

不喜欢 Pitch was very small and not marked out, there is no clear spacing and no privacy between pitches. Entrance to site is narrow there are 2 entrances but the sign for our entrance was in an open gate on the car park, no clear signage on the road so not great if you go to the wrong entrance. Didn't feel.the pub was comfortable for outsiders, felt it's very much a locals pub, we wnt once first a couple of drinks, didn't feel comfortable enough to go again. We stayed on site for 3 nights.
Did not see any member of staff apart from the lady behind the bar for the hour we stayed in the pub.
Zero wifi and zero phone signal.

Our pitches are laid out in accordance with Shropshire Council’s guidelines, and we appreciate that the layout and spacing may not suit everyone. We have three shower facilities for our 28 pitches — one ladies’ shower, one men’s shower and one unisex shower.

Thank you for pointing out the signage for Entrance A. That’s a helpful observation, and we’ve now moved the sign off the gate to make it clearer for arriving guests.

We’re also disappointed to hear you didn’t feel comfortable in the pub. We are a small, traditional local pub, but our regulars consistently receive positive feedback from campers about how welcoming they are, so it’s a shame you didn’t have the same experience.

We’re a small family-run business and, particularly in the low season, we normally have just one team member on duty. This is why we operate a self-check-in system, with a welcome letter, directions and a map showing the pitch layout emailed to guests before arrival, so everything they need is available when they arrive.

Regarding mobile phone signal, this is unfortunately dependent on your mobile network provider rather than something we can control. We are in a rural location and coverage varies between networks. Wi-Fi is available in the pub, although we appreciate this may not have been suitable for you.

喜欢 Loved this site - was really good and the pub was also fab - the meals were delicious and very plentiful.
Had a lovely walk into Bridgnorth where we had a lovely stroll. Will defo return here - great place.

喜欢 Staff were really friendly, polite and helpful. The site is lovely and clean, toilets and showers were also clean and water was lovely and hot. The pub was very quaint and cosy and the food was basic pub menu but we ate there both nights as the food was nice. I liked that there was a water tap near the pitch as well as the hookup point. The location is lovely and green. Only took a few minutes in a taxi to Bridgnorth and cost £6. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

喜欢 Pub and food.

不喜欢 Pack of hounds howling at night especially from midnight to 7am. Toilets not very clean, no hot water in taps, no toilet paper on one occasion, hand drier in mens not working on two occasions and not at all in disabled.

We’ve taken your comment about the toilet roll on board and are installing a second toilet roll dispenser in each cubicle to help prevent this happening again.

Our maintenance team has also checked the hot water and everything is working correctly. We didn’t receive any other reports of hot water issues that weekend, but we’ll continue to keep an eye on it. We’re also sorry about the hand dryers and the cleanliness of the toilets, and will make sure these are monitored more closely.

Regarding the hounds, the kennel is located nearby and unfortunately some noise can occasionally be heard. We appreciate that this may have disturbed you during the night.
