N'a pas aimé No reception area so contact by phone. Google Maps didn’t know direction to The Beeches postcode sent across road & no brown sign therefore difficult to locate as site at the back of small factory unit. Toilet block needs drastic improvement. Shower tray badly stained so reluctant to use shower. No double door access to female shower & toilet room so no privacy when outer door opens! Cold water in washing up sink but was fixed.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Anonymous, thank you for leaving a review on our site. We are glad you liked the orchard effect but there are so many other things about the site you have not covered. We have invested so much time, work and expense into this site and we love this site as others do. We do have a reception area which we are working on but this takes time. Our signage is clear at the bottom of the driveway as our instructions on booking for you arriving.
The toilet block you mentioned has had a complete revamp this year at a considerable amount of time, work and expense. I think we can agree that The Beeches is not for you as it is aimed at families. Perhaps you didn’t see the large amount of children’s play equipment too? I find your review unbalanced and quite unfair. You mark us down very poor on customer service but seemed happy enough talking about your job and links to Henlow? Yes I’m answering this now. Not sure what you expected us to provide as we are open and honest in our descriptions.
I wish we could rate those who visit us too. Seemed happy enough but possibly your mind was made up very early on and all you were able to see was negative? This was never apparent in face to face discussions though which is very unfair.You’ve done the same as a previous negative review in nit picking. I’m highlighting this your expectations were too high as we are not a 5 star service with a 1 star price! In the words of Shakespeare “Expectation is the root of all heartache”. Enough said

A aimé Brilliant site for our first camping trip.. shower block and toilet facilities were spotlessly clean as was the washing up area.. all well maintained throughout the day.. friendly and helpful wardens, we were made to feel very welcome. Play area was a bonus and again plenty for the kids to do. Lovely walks for the dog. Pitch was level, good security and you can rent a firepit and buy logs onsite.. road noise wasnt as bad as some say . Looking at coming back again soon 😀

A aimé The site is clean and tidy, showers were free not as others have mentioned. Great site friendly wardens really helpful. Little road noise but nothing earplugs can’t sort

A aimé Beautiful site, very well maintained, great play area for children & gorgeous sunset views across the fields. Shower / toilet block was immaculate. Great security, which as a female solo camper, was much appreciated. Lovely management, very helpful and kind. Will definitely be back.

N'a pas aimé You can hear the noise from the road slightly but it honestly didn’t bother me or affect my stay at all.

A aimé Wasn’t very busy. Plenty of space. Toilet and shower were ok.

N'a pas aimé Traffic noise kept me awake first night. Ear plugs sorted it for other two nights we were there.

A aimé Really friendly and quiet site. Owner was really nice and friendly. Had a really nice site. Facilities were really handy and the play area was great.

A aimé Stayed here for the night with my daughter. Lots of play equipment for her to explore and entertain her. Dawn, Lee and Mick were super friendly chatting to us at length. Nothing to much trouble for them. Great value and my daughter already wants to know when we're returning. Thanks

N'a pas aimé Place is very run down. Big tents filled with rubbish. Spoken to someone else on site and said it was packed with things to do, but now the owner is poorly so unable to do as much (which we are sorry to hear) we stayed one night, noisy near the main road

We do disagree that our site is run down, you seem to overlooked the fact we are continually maintaining and updating everything on our site. This takes time and we try to avoid this when we have visitors.
Big tents full of rubbish, well we do have a marquee which has recently been cleared of owners belongings. Our wood store we have had destroyed by strong winds and this will be removed. Yes it is a poly tunnel but remains functional in protecting the wood we need to do projects. At the end of the day, I think we can safely say that The Beeches is not for you. It is a site we are continually working on and improving on. Most people see the good things we are doing and we will continue to do this.

A aimé We only stayed for one night without electric hookup (£16). A basic site but had all amenities. Ideal stopover after travelling from the North down the A1 enroute to Cromer. The site is literally next to the A17 so expect road noise.
