A aimé Beautiful location with friendly wardens and a lovely riverside walk with access directly from the site.

The bar on the edge of the campsite was a real bonus. Although it was only open on Friday and Saturday evenings, plus a few hours on Sunday lunchtime, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. The staff were welcoming, friendly and couldn’t have been nicer.

N'a pas aimé A few things to be aware of: there is only one shower cubicle, although the shower itself was really good. You’ll also need a long hook-up cable, ideally 25 metres or more.

There isn’t a shop on site or within easy walking distance for basic supplies, such as milk, so it’s worth making sure you have everything you need before arriving. The water at the pot-wash area was also cold, which made washing up less convenient.

We were lucky to have a pitch towards the side of the field, which gave us a good amount of privacy. However, some of the other campers and caravans were grouped together in the middle of the field, which offered less privacy.

Overall, these are just a few things to bear in mind when planning your stay.

A aimé What can I say, arrived to our campsite and was greeted by the warden who was very friendly and helpful. She shown us to our pitch and told us what was about and where things where... ok from the campsite to the toilet/shower block was a little walk but worth it very clean. The site itself is lovely the grounds are kept well really enjoyed our week there. Will definitely return.

N'a pas aimé The toilets are a little bit far they are fine for us but I wouldn’t go there with my mother in law because of the distance.

A aimé Super friendly welcome and very relaxed quiet location.
Toilets and shower spotlessly clean. Take a pup tent and loo if camping then you dont need to walk to the loo so often.
Plenty of room to pitch up and choice. They also read your requests and try to accommodate. Can't fault it.

A aimé Very well kept site. Peaceful and lovely little river flowing through the site meaning the children could do some paddling and learn of all the wild life.
The park for the children was in a great area so the campers could see them from various angles.
The enclosed dog area was good too.
Owners were very friendly and relaxed and helped us with our electric hook up lead. Thank you.

N'a pas aimé The toilets and showers were clean however...its quite a walk from the camping field. Not too far in the day but evening visits alone or with children is a little too far away.

Super friendly & helpful wardens.
Level ground, short grass, lots of electric hook ups, play areas for kids.
Immaculately kept site.
Clean showers and toilets.
Bar close to site open Fri and Sat eve.
2 pubs in village 3 miles away.

N'a pas aimé Only one toilet/shower/laundry/dish washing block on the site and this is in the middle of the static van area. Only 2 loos and 1 shower each for men and women.
Need another block near or in the tent area.

A aimé Firstly, the wardens on the site (Krysh and Dave) are fantastic. So friendly and helpful.
The site is very clean and the residents that live in the caravans are all very friendly.
The site has a big open field so is ideal for ball games etc.
There is also a river that runs through the site which is ideal for paddling in.

N'a pas aimé The site is advertised as having a bar, when we enquired about this we were told it only opens on Friday and Saturday nights. The long weekend we stayed it wasn't open at all due to no staff. It was the world Cup final so we had planned to watch it there. Also there is no shop onsite, not even for essentials so we had to drive a couple of miles off site for ice creams/milk etc. Also the site only has one shower for females and one shower for males which are both quite a walk from the tent field. Luckily we were there when it was quiet but we still had to queue a couple of times. I'd imagine at busy periods this would be annoying.
