A aimé The location is stunning, with panoramic views. The site is lovely and quiet, facilities clean, and the owner seemed approachable. Plenty of space for our group of seven to enjoy a birthday gathering/camp together. Great time was had by all - much appreciated

A aimé View & Location is beautiful. Access is easy.
N'a pas aimé Grass wasn't mowed and Animal waste all around.
Site was heavily booked and just 2 WC/Shower facilities with plumbing & water supply issues.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for your review. We would like to clarify a few key points for future guests considering Brayshaw View.
Brayshaw View is a "working farm", which is clearly stated in our Pitchup listing. As a "pop‑up site", the fields are not groomed like commercial campsites, and livestock graze the land before the camping season. This is normal for a farm-based site and is explained in the site description.
The site was "not overcrowded". A booking originally declared as a group of 14 unexpectedly became a group of around "40 people", all booked separately and then camping together in one area. Had we been informed of the true numbers, this would not have been permitted. The rest of the site had plenty of space.
During the stay, members of the group trespassed into restricted areas of the farm, took wood and eggs from the log shop without paying, and refused to pay for an additional guest staying in one of the bell tents, despite the tent being used for two nights. These behaviours are not acceptable on any campsite.
At 5am, all 40 guests used the facilities at once, causing a temporary blockage. This was resolved immediately by a professional sanitation company, and the facilities were fully cleaned and sanitised straight away. The group also ignored the site’s quiet-time policy of 7am, leading another family—who politely asked for quiet—to pack up early and leave due to the disturbance.
We welcome respectful campers who appreciate the unique experience of staying on a working farm. Unfortunately, the behaviour of this particular group did not reflect that, and we feel it is important to provide an accurate account for future visitors.

A aimé Bell Tent was fine
N'a pas aimé It was a nightmare for everyone in the family. We had to leave one day before for the following reasons:
The toilets were just pathetic. They were leaking, the waste was all over, smelling, unhygienic, dirty...
The campsite was dirty as well, sheep waste everywhere.
Campsite was crowded, not marked, not mowed.....
We had to leave after we did our trek, we were tired, with kids and had to drive back in the night...

Very Bad Experience
Emplacement pour tente ou camping-car sur herbe sans électricité
A aimé Nothing to be liked about the facility provided.
N'a pas aimé The pitch was mowed and had over grown grass. The pitch had sheep droppings all over. There were toooooo many bookings taken leading to total chaos. For these tooooo many bookings there were only 2 toilets. Finally the toilets gave up and the waste started leaking all over the place making the toilets unusable.

Really enjoyed our stay at Brayshaw View
Emplacement pour tente ou camping-car sur herbe sans électricité
A aimé Location. Views. Peace. The log store with eggs and marshmallows.
If you’re looking for a back to basics campsite but want the luxury of proper flushing toilets and hot running water then this is the place!
Stayed for 3 nights with my children. It was their first camping experience! They really enjoyed feeling as though they were in the middle of nowhere.
Many reviews have commented on the showers, we had no problems with these whilst we were there. Facilities were clean, there was hot water (just takes a minute to warm up).
Not too long of a drive into skipton town centre, Settle or Clitheroe. Around 15min drive from the lovely walks at Gisburn forest.
Be prepared for wind! It warns of this in the description but definitely take note!
N'a pas aimé Long grass made it a little tricky to pitch up. Had also been raining the previous day.

A aimé Relatively small, secluded campsite, surrounded by a wonderful landscape.
Basic toilet and showers and sinks (what more do you need) and a supply of fire pits, wood and marshmallows.
If the sky is clear you'll get a beautiful night-time view.
N'a pas aimé Absolutely nothing.
It's basic - that's why we go camping.

A aimé Remote location, excellent views, campsite very quiet. Toilet and showers clean and hygienic! Loved the mirror to clean teeth looking out at countryside!
Great discount for solo campers on their website
N'a pas aimé No one who owned the campsite came to meet us but this wasn't necessarily a problem! Poorly signposted. Google maps sends you wrong way, which they must have anticipated as the signs start at the wrong turning but they are tiny and not clear which way they are pointing

Can’t wait for next year.
Tente cloche
A aimé Loved the scenery and seclusion, great hosts.
N'a pas aimé The temperamental hot water, but being in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere I would expect nothing less.
