A aimé Well kept campsite, beautiful natural landscape. Clean toilets and individual shower cubicles. Next to a river with easy access to nearby walks! 3 pubs within walking distance as well :) Smooth check in and lots of space. Budget friendly prices, within a short drive to Settle and Ingleton. We really enjoyed our stay here!

N'a pas aimé Poor instructions given by owner. Rude interaction with a man who did not identify himself. When sat around tent, with chairs and table set up, a man approached us in a vehicle to say ‘put your dog on a lead or leave’. If advertised as a dog friendly campsite it should mention you have to have your dogs staked even when in your own tent area. Also had a terrible experience in the local pub so if wanting a nice pub to walk to I would avoid.

A aimé Very quiet location on a farm, not overcrowded with plenty of room and space. Owner was very honest with our pricing! Dog friendly

A aimé The setting is just beautiful. It’s a quiet, basic site, with oodles of space. The flat camping fields are bounded on one side by the river and the Settle-Carlisle railway on the other. The village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, including train station, is 15-20 mins walk away. Views of Pen-y-Ghent complete the scene. While we were there, we saw buzzards, wagtails, a goldfinch, and best of all, pairs of swifts chasing each other as they skimmed the grass right in front of our tent. Showers were hot and clean and the toilets nice- don’t be deceived by their slightly shabby exterior appearance! Though there is no WiFi, the 4G signal is brilliant- not a given out in the Dales!

N'a pas aimé It would be useful, given this is a non-electric site, to have somewhere to freeze ice packs. A basic map of walking routes from the site on arrival would also have been useful. A bench/ seat in the shower cubicles would have made it much easier to get my feet dry!

A aimé Stayed here for 2 nights. Campsite was excellent. Loads of room and very peaceful.
Would definitely recommend.

A aimé Plenty of space, but then the camp was practically empty

N'a pas aimé Not much evidence of recycling provisions.
Ample space available, so there could be a place to exercise dogs rather than have them in the lead all the time.

A aimé This place has amazing views.
Working farm at side of river learned my 8 year old spaniel to kayak.
Nice clean toilets
Plenty of local walks
Nice and quiet in 👍

A aimé Big open spaces, close to the Yorkshire three peaks, basic but clean facilities, friendly host who offered us pub recommendations and directions!

N'a pas aimé Nothing the site can help, but worth noting: A working farm so there is noise from the sheep. The train goes past periodically and toots the horn (this was quite late and quite early too!)

A aimé What a lovely quiet campsite. Located right at the base of pen-y-ghent. Great facilities and a friendly welcome when we arrived.
