Me gustó It was definitely all about the stunning front row views. We pitched furthest away which was the best spot for being away enough from the car park, and also seemed the flattest. You do definitely need to level the van, but there were blocks left near the pitches we used. (Also worth noting that you are right on the cliff face, so it will get windy!) The toilet block was the public one which hundreds of visitors use, so despite the cleaners best efforts, they were disgusting! We were only here 1 night so didn’t venture to the main toilets/showers so can’t comment on those- other than they were a long way away. The onsite bar/restaurant was “okay” and the little shop too for essentials. Great location for walking, especially over to Lulworth cove (nice selection of pubs, little shops etc) or walking down the other way to Durdle Door.

No me gustó The toilets for the camper vans were just the public ones. Unfortunately hundreds of people use these, and it’s amazing how dirty/disrespectful some people are with the state they left some of the cubicles (I felt sorry for the cleaners) I think a few separate portaloos for people who have paid for a campervan pitch could be considered by the holiday park maybe as the main toilet block is a treck away.

Me gustó Lovely campsite. Felt very safe & peaceful, yet there was loads for kids to do. Especially loved the lake side walk with all the bits to play on, & added bonus was the water spray they had turned on for kids to splash in where it was so hot. Good sized grass pitch, close to toilets and clean, good working showers. Food at the restaurant was great quality & large portions. Could happily have stayed longer and will definitely be back. Perfect location for Marwell zoo which is literally just down the road.

No me gustó Some of the play park equipment was broken & it was definitely aimed more at toddlers than older children.

Me gustó Fantastic campsite! Felt very well organised & safe! Loved the layout and being able to choose your own spot. We went to the top of the hill under the tree’s and had a fantastic view! Kids loved running down the hill & playing on the hay bales & you could keep an eye on them whilst having a quite drink by the tent! The evening entertainment & drinks in the barn was a real bonus, as were the fire pits you can hire. Staff all really friendly & helpful, we will definitely be returning!!

Me gustó Absolutely fantastic little site! We had a choice of where to camp as it was a quiet weekend, so we opted for the Blue Field which was more tucked away but closest to the park for our 2 girls. The groundsman was very helpful & friendly, as were all the staff we spoke to in the complex. The site was very clean and felt very safe, our girls loved being able to run around and explore, and the play park was just fantastic! We took our small dog with us too for the first time camping, and found it to be very dog friendly & easier with him than we expected it to be. The campsite was great in terms of location to the village too. We walked down into Charmouth a few times for an explore and visit to the local pub & beach- both also lovely!! The pool and soft play were small, but we go camping to be outdoors anyway, so these were adequate for our needs. We had a fantastic family escape & cant wait to go back again! Thank you Newlands!!!!

No me gustó The showers were a bit temperamental in terms of temperature & would go very cold/hot regardless of where you put the knob. Not a problem really, as you are in-out anyway, but the kids/husband did a lot of shrieking/moaning ;)
