Parcela de gravilla con toma de agua, luz y desagüe para caravanas y autocaravanas
Me gustó A very well kept site with good hard standing pitches. The water and electric were quite far too reach, around 20ft from the caravan. There's a small shop at reception for some essentials. The toilet block was exceptional, modern, large and very clean. It was quiet with only a handful of other campers at the time. Good facilities all round.
No me gustó The only downside was the terrible WiFi, not up to today's standards at all. The only real reception was standing right underneath the single very old looking transmitter at the reception and even then it kept dropping out. It's 2026, you need to provide good WiFi.

Me gustó It is a quiet location surrounded with established woodland and a picturesque pond in the middle. There was a tea room with some indoor chairs that overlooked the pond. Larger gas bottles were available could not see the smaller camping ones. Large parking area for cars next to the cafe/shop. Coffee and home baking available. Friendly staff in shop. Very dark skies if you want to see the stars. No overflying planes and was generally a quiet location. Facilities like water and bins were basic but adequate
No me gustó At the top of the dislikes would be the toilet block, for a start there should be two on this size of site as it was a long walk, especially in the dark with small children. The condition of the toilets was very poor, what you would expect at a small village or beach public toilets. For example, in the mens of the 3 stalls, one had the seat on the floor, the other was covered in brown stuff and the other would not flush, this remained the situation for the whole day. The wife said the ladies toilets were no better, in fact a guest was sweeping the floor of the toilets as they said the owner was too busy. The showers were too filthy to use. There was also a total lack of soap as the dispensers were empty. The general smell was also quite disgusting and overpowering. Not remotely good enough and my 5 year old daughter said she hated going to them. Overall appearance was that these toilets were at least 20 years old and in need of a complete refit, and regular cleaning. I could not see a cleaning schedule on the wall.
What is not very clear in the website pictures is that the main tent area does not allow access to cars which explains why they are so densely packed in the pictures, I think you have to park at the cafe/shop and walk round which is quite a distance. We we're offered a hard standing area round the back which there were other tents and camper vans. Please note the ground here is very hard, you will need very strong hammer in tent pegs to get them in which we fortunately have. We were right next to the play area with some nice families who also had small children. The play area is basic but functional. Please add wood bark to the ground as some parts of the climbing frame are 6ft up. Note that there is fast road very close to the play area with only a small wooded section from it and the road with fast cars & tractors using it. There is no fence or barrier to stop children wandering onto the road, they cannot be left unattended. Worse is the children were making dens in this section and in the end the wife had to stand and supervise everytime our children went out to play. I found this a bit shocking and could not relax not knowing if they were playing next to or on the road. I could not see any other play area for the children or otherwise we would have moved the tent.
Sady this site is not one we would consider ever visiting again and speaking with other campers our views were certainly not unique, the condition of the toilets being universally disliked. I think the owners would benefit from doing some camping themselves and seeing how standards have improved elsewhere.
