Me gustó Such a peaceful stay. Was lovely to be by the river and hear the water. The woodburning stove was a god send in the cold nights. Was great fun cooking stew in the kitchen and listening to the birds in the morning. Fabulous January camp!

No me gustó A little too far over uneven ground to the shower and flushing toilet. If you have issues with mobility you could struggle at this site.

Me gustó The levelled off pitches on the slope were a real bonus as we had a fantastic sea view. The facilities were very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Everyone else we met on site were also friendly and it had a good atmosphere.

No me gustó Not a dislike, but if you stay in a tent, be aware that the road is quite busy and we pitched up close to it, so obviously got woken up early!

Me gustó Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside, Burton Springs is well worth a visit, for both fisherfolk and non fisherfolk alike. We stayed in the Lotus stargazer bell tent for one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. There is something so peaceful about this site that all of my worries just melted away as I sat and watched the dragonflies skirting over the water and watched the moorhens and their young on the banks of the lakes. I don’t fish, but I can certainly see the appeal and Burton Springs is a perfect location if you want to camp and fish in a beautiful, well laid out, well cared for site. The bell tent was equipped with everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and the lighting which we turned on after dusk, added a magical touch to our Glamping experience. The toilet and shower blocks are basic but very clean and I had a lovely hot, powerful shower in the morning. There’s a small honesty shop on site which is amply stocked. You need cash for the little honesty box, or you can scan and pay on your phone via a QR code inside the shop. We didn’t need the wood burning stove, as it was too warm so we went to the local pub which serves beautiful food. Not just your average pub grub, but a lovely full menu with a ‘hot rocks’ section. We chose sirloin and were able to cook the steaks at our table in seconds! There’s also a good choice of veggie meals and meals for children on the menu. Well worth the short walk. (Flat, ten minutes maximum for even the slowest of walkers. Also wheelchair accessible.) The morning we left, we relaxed outside the tent on the grass and quite honestly didn’t want to leave!

No me gustó There’s nothing to dislike. It’s every bit like the description. There’s no WI-FI on the site, but we already knew this as it’s advertised and there’s great 4g signal on site anyway.

Me gustó If I could give this site 20/10 I would! Everything is absolutely perfect. From the wonderful Coronation welcome cakes and bunting that were laid out, to the stunning (and incredibly tasty) breakfast hamper, to the tasteful interior design, the little touches, the huge outside roll top bath with Silver Fern’s own toiletries and super soft towels. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming, whilst allowing you to have privacy and peace and quiet.. They’ve really thought of EVERYTHING! I cannot big this site up enough. We will most definitely be back. It’s a little slice of paradise.

Me gustó Everything about the site is just lovely. The hosts are very warm and welcoming and Ebrill the shepherds hut was lovely and cosy with the wood burning stove. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely go back.

Me gustó Everything about the lodge is so well thought out. You have everything you need and it’s really a home from home. Super modern and super comfortable. Wonderful for a romantic stay for two or a peaceful retreat for one!

Me gustó The beautiful view of the castle, the peaceful surroundings, really helpful and friendly owner, level pitch, comfortable accommodation with everything we needed to cook. Adequate amenities with hot water/shower. Added touches like the lighting in the tent and comfortable table, chairs and outdoor furniture to sit on inside tent and outdoors. The windbreak also came in handy!

Me gustó The location with its amazing view across to Glastonbury Tor, super comfy pillows and duvet, outdoor hot shower with a view (I was feeling brave!) Complimentary Prosecco on ice when we arrived. Could not have asked for better. Loved everything about our stay!

Me gustó We loved every single aspect of this amazing site. Every little thing was thought of. The pitches are beautiful and huge, not just for the bell tents but for all the pitches. Each have their own individual sheltered areas with picnic tables, so no matter the weather you have somewhere dry to sit and eat! The campers kitchen had everything we could possibly need and is brilliantly set out for recycling, with individual bins for plastic, glass etc. The composting loos are comfortable, clean and dry and hand sanitiser is provided too! The showers are immaculate and the water was nice and hot. Fantastic at the end of a long day. We also loved the honesty shop on site which stocks everything that you may have forgotten to bring and which also houses fridges for each pitch so that you can keep your food nice and fresh. Everything really has been thought of. The bell tent itself was very clean and pretty. The bed was super comfy and I had the best sleep ever. There are solar and battery powered lights in and around the tent which is handy if you need to pop the short distance to the loo in the night! The owners are really lovely and it was great to meet them both. We can’t wait to stay again in the future.

Me gustó The stunning views, the quirkiness, the peace and quiet and friendly staff. Beautiful fresh meat that we bought on site and cooked on the BBQ. Waking up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise.

No me gustó Not a dislike really, just a heads up for anyone staying at the secluded gypsy caravan; you have to be generally physically fit to reach the caravan, as it is a 5-10 min walk from the carpark up a very bumpy dirt track and then up a very steep field to reach the van at the top. Well worth it though but anyone with mobility issues would struggle. I was certainly out of breath and I used to be a postie!!

Me gustó The wonderful rural location with beautiful views. The owners are super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The bar was a welcome addition even though we were suffering the morning after! The tent and kitchen area were comfortable and clean and everything we needed was there.

Me gustó Great flat sheltered pitch, warm pub with friendly hosts and locals. Lovely hot shower in the hut and clean facilities. We stayed warm and dry even during storm Dennis! Even though everyone thought we were barmy we had a wonderful stay, made all the more enjoyable by a drink and a warm by the fire in the evening before heading back to the tent. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to pitch during bad weather.
