No me gustó No private washing cubicles. Lack of information about the area and places to visit. Road noise.

Me gustó The location was ideal for walking and nature lovers. The hard standing pitch was almost level and was adequate in size. Excellent welcome from Jannine and the cost was competitive. Lovely toilet/shower block. The Ancient Britain provides a variety of very nice bar meals.

No me gustó The site was very busy due to it being the first weekend of the school holidays and the local pub had live music outside until late on. I believe this only occurs during summer and at weekends.

Me gustó Greeting on arrival with full explanation of the site amenities. Lovely and clean toilet and shower block. We didn't use the washing up room but it was clean with ample facilities. Pitches flat with views of the countryside.

No me gustó Lot's of people camping which made the toilet/shower facilities inadequate . Pitch locations areas could be more clearly marked out.

Me gustó Proximity to Castle Howard and being able to walk to the Castle. We were happy with our pitch which was flat and plenty of space. The toilet facilities were adequate although a bit dated.

No me gustó No security so anyone can access the site. The site including camping, accommodates a lot of people and I wounder if the facilities were sufficient to cope at busy times. My wife experienced exceptionally dirty showers but this was due to the users of the facility. She reported the issue to staff and suggested that possibly more frequent inspections of the toilets might be advantageous during busy times.

The facilities are normally more than adequate however during bank holidays and school holidays when guests tend to rise at the same time, guests may sometimes need to be a little more patient but this doesn't happen too often. It is very disappointing to us when the facilities are mistreated but your wife's suggestion of more frequent inspections during these periods has been passed on to the relevant team. Security do patrol the site at night.

Me gustó Lovely flat pitches with plenty of room. The site was immaculately kept with spotlessly clean toilets, clearly a lot of personal pride taken in the site from the family. Nice to walk round the small fishing lakes on the site. There is a small charge for electric showers but otherwise there is plenty of hot water in the toilet block and washing up area. Lovely and friendly greeting from the owner.

No me gustó Slight road noise which was the only reason I didn't score 10.

Me gustó Friendly welcome from John who explained everything we needed to know about the site and local buses. Shown to our pitch which was near to the lake with nice views. Level pitch with fresh water at the rear of the electric hook up. Metered electric, we paid £5.00 cash and only used £1.44 during our two nights. Balance refunded on departure. Toilets and showers close by , were clean with plenty of hot water. Ample signage for waste and recycling bins and elsan etc. Evening walk around the lakes was pleasant. Quiet site in beautiful surroundings. Some comments made previously about noise from the nearby road but we didn't find this an issue. Convenient for visiting Lincoln and surrounding areas.

Me gustó We arrived early evening and followed the instructions left at reception. After calling the owner we received a nice welcome and explanation of the site rules etc. The pitch was flat and had the usual facilities on hand. Lovely location nice and quiet. Handy to be able to walk to the Ancient Britain pub. Toilet and shower facilities were good.

Me gustó The location of the site and quantity of water points. Staff very friendly and the pitch we had was level. Cleanliness and warmth of the utilities block

No me gustó Lack of information about the site. Having to walk round the site to locate the chemical disposal point and rubbish bins. No mop and bucket to dry out the shower cubicles as the toilets tended to be wet after someone had used the shower. No private washing facility. Quite a few water logged pitches following heavy rain. Electric points difficult to connect to as the switch gear was stiff.

Me gustó Location for walking to Pickering. Individual showers with plenty of hot water. Private loos. Level pitches with plenty of space. Friendly owner's.

Me gustó This is a lovely site well laid out with hard standing pitches. The location was good being a shot distance from the motorway Excellent toilet block which was clean with plenty of hot water. Electricity is metered which means you pay for what you use. It only cost us 60p for the night! The owner was very friendly and helpful.

No me gustó There are seasonal pitches but they are in a separate area to the touring pitches. Prefer to see dogs on leads and not being allowed to walk freely from their owners. Toilet light is on a sensor which went off too soon. The owner is aware of this and is going to change the time.
