Me gustó We absolutely loved our stay, the lady and gentleman in the restaurant were so welcoming and showed us to our pitch. The site has everything you need, with excellent facilities, as well as a wonderful pub and restaurant which is dog friendly. We were told of a beautiful walk down by the river, it was so close by, literally just through a gate, we had a lovely walk and then enjoyed a drink at the pub. It’s a beautiful site, clearly sign posted and an absolute haven for wildlife. We enjoy our stay so much that we have booked to stay again.

Me gustó Such a lovely relaxing site, the owners are so friendly and helpful. The pitches are a good size, it’s dog friendly and the showers and toilets are spotlessly clean.

Me gustó Everything, the pitches are level and a great size, it’s all so loved and cared for, with pretty flower beds between each pitch. The hook up is 16 amp and always works perfectly. It’s a peaceful site and a haven for wildlife. The facilities are excellent, immaculately clean and regularly checked and cleaned, there’s also a very good free wifi signal. The fish and chips on a Thursday are fantastic and highly recommended. The owners Lisa and Paul are so lovely and always happy and cheerful. We’ve visited The Old Barn Retreat many times and whatever the weather it’s always lovely. The beach is just a 10 minute drive away and like the old barn retreat doggie friendly.

Me gustó Acorn Wood is set back from the road and surrounded by hedges and trees. It’s beautifully kept, extremely peaceful and relaxing and a haven for the local wildlife. If you would like to visit a pub or restaurant, it’s just a short walk to the neighbouring village. The level pitches are generously sized and have ample lawned areas between the pitches and there is even picnic tables for when the weathers warmer. The facilities are excellent, with a lovely lodge for guests to use, which overlooks the pretty fishing pond. The showers and toilets are exceptionally clean and the owners are extremely friendly and very helpful. The site is adults only and dog friendly and we will definitely visit again.

Me gustó We absolutely love everything about The Old Ban Retreat. The owners are lovely and very helpful. Pitch sizes are great and beautifully planted up. The whole site is well cared for, it’s very relaxing and the facilities are immaculately clean. An absolute haven for the wildlife.

Me gustó Peaceful and relaxing and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. The facilities are wonderful with immaculately clean toilets and showers. The whole site is well cared for and it was lovely to see the cows, goats and chickens.

Me gustó Peaceful, relaxing and a haven for wildlife. Excellent sized pitch area, very welcoming and friendly owner. The whole site is well cared for and the WiFi was excellent, as we had no signal on our phones.

The pitches are large and level and the whole site is well cared for. The facilities are amazing, they’re kept spotlessly clean too. It’s a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing site, which is a haven for wildlife. The WiFi is fantastic and the site is doggy friendly.

Me gustó Peaceful, the guy on reception is friendly and did sort the WiFi eventually.

No me gustó Soon after we arrived the reception closed, the WiFi didn’t work and we had no phone signal. After speaking with other people, they said it happened every night. After I’d spoken to reception once it opened the next day they reset the WiFi and it worked. Toilets need cleaning regularly

Me gustó Stunning views, the pitch was level and the amenities were close by. The showers were great and the toilets were kept clean and the manager was very friendly.

No me gustó The pitches were very close, we unfortunately had extremely noisy neighbours on one side of us, who had a jet ski which they were trying to get running, the noise and smell was very annoying. Also for the size of the site 2 showers ment there was always a queue.

Me gustó The scenery is breathtaking and the walks around the cliffs are spectacular. The pitch was level and extremely clean and well kept. The owners were welcoming and informative regarding the surrounding area.

No me gustó What would make this site perfect would be if toilets and showers could be included, but as it’s an area of outstanding beauty we understand this isn’t always possible. The only issue we had was that we had difficulty accessing the WiFi, but it wasn’t too much of an issue as we enjoyed the surroundings.

Me gustó Absolutely beautiful, it was so peaceful to listen to the stream that ran behind us. Deep in the valley, with only the sounds of nature, we had a wonderful relaxing time and behind the reception is a beautiful walk alongside the river. The pitch area was mostly level, with all the amenities close by, the showers were excellent and the toilets were kept very clean. The sites great for walkers, families and dog friendly. We’d initially booked for just one night, but we stayed another night because we loved it. The owner was very welcoming and told us to pitch were we wanted, then he kindly gave us the code for the free WiFi.

Me gustó A lovely peaceful and relaxing site, the owner and his family were very friendly, welcoming and extremely accommodating. The site is well maintained, the pitch was level and the hook up and water were very close to the pitch. The site has immaculately clean showers and toilets and it’s perfectly located for all local amenities and some quaint little pubs. We will definitely use this little gem of a site again.
