Me gustó Lovely site, well placed, clean, quiet, calm and excellent facilities. The farm next door is lovely and a bonus that the entry fee gets you entry for your whole stay, just remember to get your camp pass card from the campsite reception first. Toilets were clean, spacious and well stocked. Showers were clean, spacious and plenty of storage space. Tge disabled shower room was big with toilet and shower and had shower seat and bars. Was a bit slippery though so as it is a disabled room might be worth getting an anti slip floor for the shower part at least.
Great site for visiting Sandringham (10 mins away) Huntingdon (about 10/15 mins away) Kings Lynn (30 mins away) and lots of other Norfolk sights which are not far away for a day out.
There is free wifi but it doesnt reach the whole site. Not a problem really if you want to be offline for a break.
No me gustó Nothing it was a great place and wouod love to visit again.

Me gustó Lovely quiet location. Plenty of space and individual pitches. Kids were free to play safely and loved the animals. Everyone had good camping etiquette, camp settled down by 10pm. Plenty of toilets and showers so no queuing and showers had hot water at all times. We didn't make use of the pizza night due to a gluten food intolerance but it seemed very popular, a nice touch. Cafe next door, again we didn't use but it looked very popular. A running club was also running one day, nice idea for those wanting to burn off the BBQ's. Great location for days out, easy routes to Whitstable, Deal, Canterbury, Dover, all the main sights. Weather was stunning during our stay. Will definitely visit again.
No me gustó Would have been great if there was a communal freezer for ice packs. As we were non electric pitch we usually swap over ice packs to keep fresh food like milk, sandwich fillers for packed lunches, meat for brekkie/ BBQ etc. We will make sure we book electric next time and bring a travel fridge. (unless you add a freezer :) )

Me gustó Good facilities. Lovely toasty showers with great flow and pressure. There were two shower/toilets cubicles and 2 just toilet cubicles. Only had to wait my turn a couple of times but not for long. They were reasonably clean but definitely take a bag to put your stuff in as the showers are more wet room style, the floor gets wet. Also flip flops or crocs a good idea as the sandy substrate means gritty floors (cant be helped) squeegie in cubicles to clear floor though.there was a big double sink for washing up and a freezer for ice packs (definitely essential) the microwave and washing machine were a nice extra touch although we didn't use the washing machine. There was a lovely undercover bar, cafe and shop. You could get essentials aswell as extra wood from fire. Also a tv playing sport and some.live music one night. We didnt socialise but it always seemed popular in the evenings for those wanting something like that. The children loved all the animals, the woods for exploring and the play area and football pitch. I didn't see them for long if we were on site as they went off exploring, playing and making friends. I felt confident of their safety to explore freely. If you like fishing there is a little pond. All in all we had a good week. The location is a bit in the sticks surrounded by country roads but they were pleasant to drive along. Most of the places we visited were around 40 mins or more. Gainsborough was the closest to visit and we enjoyed a day out there. Lincoln also a great day out. Doncaster is a similar distance with Yorkshire Wildlofe Park a good place to visit or The Dome on rainy days for a water park and ice skating. If you want a beach, highly recommend Cleethorpes again a bit of a drive but worth it.
No me gustó Ground was uneven in some areas making the tent not flush on the ground in some parts, thankfully we had good weather so didn't get a puddle underneath. Some children were digging holes in the sand in the middle of the tent field, well sand is tempting to be fair but it did make it difficult to drive over and uneven underfoot so a good torch definitely needed. Not much you can do about the substrate but maybe a kind reminder not to play in the sand when checking in might helo. Also some toilets at the end of the tent field would be an advantage, it's a bit of a trek for small kids or those slower moving especially at night, just a couple of portaloos or even better some compost toilets perhaps.

Del administrador: Thankyou for such a detailed review. You are right the sandy conditions are very attractive to kids but parents/carers are not sensible about where the digging happens. Likewise many promises to repair before they go don't come to fruition either. The digging you speak of was filled in as soon as we were made aware of it. We too have done portaloos before and they are very expensive but now that we have water and power down on the wild campsite a toilet facility is on the cards. We just need to clear some more covid bills

Me gustó We loved the animals. The kids were off exploring, fussing the cats and chatting to the alpacas and ponies every day. They even had to go around and say goodbye to each and every one when we left. Their highlight was definitely helping out with the alpacas.
Apart from the cute furry residents the campsite itself is lovely. Great facilities. Lovely hot showers. The honesty shop is a nice idea for some basic essentials. There's a communal fridge freezer which is always a bonus for refreezing ice packs or storing perishables. Tea and coffee making facilities available. The football goal posts were a hit as was the hammock to chill in. Michelle was lovely especially with the kids.
Some people have mentioned the road, yes you definitely hear it but to be honest I got used to it after the first day, which is saying something as a very light sleeper. (I will remember my ear plugs next time though) however the kids slept all the way through even during the storms.
The camp atmosphere was lovely initially. The kids made lots of friends and everyone was respectfully quiet from 10pm.
Location is great, plenty of days out within easy driving distance.
Despite the really bad weather, we still had an amazing time and hopefully will get a lovely sunny stay next time, and yes we will definitely be returning.
No me gustó However, on the weekend we did have some noisier neighbours unfortunately; the 10pm music curfew wasn't adhered to and some groups continued talking loudly well past 11pm. Bit of a contrast from earlier in the week, but it's the luck of the draw with who's staying. Second night they were quieter, the rain may have helped.
