Run down
sept 2025 Me gustó Large pitch
No me gustó Very run down with a lot of exposed electricity cables - had a complete feel of neglect
Cesspit smell was overwhelming….
Felt like more of a residential site than for tourers

Camping du Lac de Bignac
Bignac, Charente, Francia
Nice for a 2 night stop
sept 2025 Me gustó Large pitch but all very open plan
Good clean toilet facilities
Nice restaurant meal
No me gustó Shop has very limited stock - no fridge so no butter or milk
Nearest shop is 10km
After just one night of rain the ground was surprisingly muddy - so be prepared if you have dogs with you

Perfect for our first 'sleepover' in our VW camper
jul 2022 Me gustó Great pitch sizes
Very friendly and helpful staff. We have two nervous rescue dogs, the manager gave us a pitch with plenty of space and also shade for the dogs which was thoughtful and perfect. Good dog walking field (and poo bin). Adequate toilets & showers. Being adult only.
We didn't eat in the pub (we will next time) but sat outside for a drink - lovely well kept area
No me gustó Paying £5 per dog per night would bump up the cost for a longer stay but it wouldn't put us off going back.
