No me gustó We didn't like that the only cubicle toilets were directly opposite the urinal. This made it quite tricky when females are coming out of the toilet with men at the urinal and when there are children around

No me gustó Tiny pitches, very cramped together The showers dribbled out, impossible to wash long or thick hair The noise from others in this campsite was unreal, with no quiet time enforced. People playing music, shouting, washing up etc well past midnight. There was also loud music from the campsite next door and (admittedly, not the fault of the campsite) loud music from a town festival that went on until 3.30 in the morning. So avoid this weekend if you want a quiet one. We changed pitches but it didn't make much difference

Me gustó Good location for Chamonix Beautiful mountain views from the lake Previous reviews criticizing the pitch layout - there are no pitch layouts basically, just find a space and pitch there and drag your electric cable as far as it will go to a plug. This didn't seem to cause an issue for most though

No me gustó Not the camp site fault but lots of mosquito so be prepped One shower wouldn't stay on, the others were ok but were not very powerful and hard to wash long or thick hair

Me gustó We read reviews before coming and I was worried due to the comments about unhelpful staff, mosquitos and unclean facilities. However, the staff on reception could not have been more helpful and friendly. There had been a mosquito treatment that morning so there were none in sight (no bites and we would have definitely got bitten if there were any around) and the toilets and showers were extremely clean and well looked after Only stayed one night so can't comment any further (although when I originally booked the policy was min.2 night stay but that has changed so they didn't charge me the second night)

Me gustó Outdoor swimming pool - really great facility to have especially for kids. Flexible and helpful site staff Quiet

No me gustó Toilet/shower block is dated and only one shower for female, one for male. Most people on site seemed to be caravans/motorhomes with showers in board but if not, one shower could be a struggle.

Del administrador: Thanks for your review. Sorry if you had a cold shower. The male and female showers are on the same heating circuit so I don’t understand how one was hot and the other cold. All our electric points are within 25 meters of the sockets. If on your return, you leave me know you have a shorter cable, I can put you on a pitch nearer to the sockets.

Me gustó Excellent place to stay. So many great activities, especially for kids. We did high ropes and archery, the I structors were brilliant. We were also there for the Easter trail, which meant they could also go on the climbing wall and kayaking as part of that (although the site does become busy as external visitors come in). Toilet/shower blocks were clean and well kept. A big communal campfire was lit every night, great for marshmallow roasting. Good location Friendly helpful staff

No me gustó Our pitch was quite uneven with lots of holes and it took us quite a bit of time to get it even. Toilet/shower blocks at the boathouse are mixed gender, it was fine but could be off putting for some.

No me gustó One shower block always had drains clogged with hair which made them smell and weren't cleaned out for the 6 nights we were there. Fridge and freezer were very dated and could also do with a clean

No me gustó Lots of pitches were quite sloped. Fine if you have a van you can adjust, not so good in a tent. Ours was flat, I would book again but ask to be allocated a flat pitch to be safe Ice pack freezing but no freezer or fridge
