Camping La Noue des Rois

Me gustó Pool was great, a little cold to begin with but soon got used to it. My boy loved the slides. Was allocated a pitch with another family member was giving the choice of 2 different pitches picked the one over looking the lakes. Lovely veiw to wake up to and have breakfast near it. Fresh pastries and bread ordered the night before. Clean toilet blocks. Zip wire and small climbing frame and swing next to our pitch kept my son entertained whilst cooking and cleaning up from meals

Me gustó Staff were friendly and welcoming. Happy to accommodate our choice of pitch.

No me gustó Dated toilet and shower facilities which needed cleaning more often.

Me gustó We loved our stay .... spacious pitches, everything you need! There was only a few niggles which arent dislikes but just could be better are the toilets and showers, also where is the potable water?

Me gustó Huge pitch for tents with hedges around for privacy, very close to amenities.
Nice crepe restaurant
Clean pool
Lovely lake on site for fishing, kayaking and swimming.
Toilets, showers and washing facilities dated but very clean.

Me gustó I booked here as a break off between our long journey home thinking it's expensive and looks really nice and we have stayed at nicer, cheaper places. Can't say I would stay here again.

No me gustó We were due to arrive 30mins late due to traffic, I'd tried to ring and email to query how we could check in on our arrival with no response. When we arrived reception was closed, so we went to the restaurant to ask, which was a struggle as the staff didn't really speak English, luckily the chef spoke English so helped us, we had to leave our passport until 8am in the morning when reception opened before we could check out.

Due to only staying the one night we decided to book a table in the restaurant, it is quite a walk to the main swimming pool area from where the pitches are so we biked round as it is right round the lake.
We ordered drinks and our food had come before the drinks had arrived, we kept on having to remind the staff. They weren't the most helpful towards us.

The toilet facilities near the pitches weren't the best for £40 a night.
There was 2 showers, 2 toilets and 2 sinks for all the touring pitches so in a morning there was a queue on.

Me gustó This is a lovely site that I would return to. Swimming pool was great fun and clean my 10 year old loved it. The slides were great fun. The lake was beautiful and my son played in it for hours and used his paddle board was again so clean and the water so clear. The mini golf was fun and only needed a deposit that you got back. Croissants that you order each day were big and super tasty. Showers and toilets were lovely and clean, yes dated not modern but lovely and clean and proper toilets. I loved all the open space at the site lots of little spots you can sit and relax with wildlife. Love that you can go for a bike ride around the site. Sounds silly but lidls is only 10 minutes drive so super close really handy to go do a quick food shop. And Disneyland was only 1 hrs 15 mins away so a day trip to Disney was great fun and not to far to drive back to the campsite after. Photos on pitch up don’t show you how amazing this site really is. Even though there were some negatives to the site the positives really outweigh the negatives, as I said we would return.

No me gustó Reception doesn’t speak very much English at all so a slight language barrier. We got put in an over flow car park which was like a building site and after the weekend we were just left there on our own not camping near anyone or people with children and not near the toilets, however I would come back but would request to camp near the large lake or the other side, which was really nice Because we are in this over flow area they thought it was okay to light a massive bonfire with everyone’s rubbish from the bins, that we woke up to the tent and everything inside smelling like smoke! However I will say the lady in reception did get them to put it out but I don’t think this should have happened. There is no toilet roll in the toilet blocks to you need to buy or take your own. Bin day is Friday and in the over flow camping area you’re woken up at 5.45 by the bin men again if we had been put in the nicer camping areas this wouldn’t have effected us.
Would appreciate if the restaurant on site had the menu in English and French only a recommendation to help when again there was a big language barrier.

No me gustó Probably the worst campsite we stayed at. There was only 2 toilets and one was blocked.
The bar and restaurant was never open and when it did open the beer was very expensive!!!

Well supervised pool facility

No me gustó Having to walk all the way to the reception area for potable water (camp reception told us there was a water point at the services in our area but couldn't tell us exactly where and we couldn't find it)
The electric hook up was literally an extension from the (lived in) cabin next door - luckily there were no issues requiring a fuse reset
All the services were dated and unclean - no toilet paper or handsoap, no family showers, baby change in womens area only.
Pool and slides were probably great 30 years ago - and whilst they provided welcome respite in the height of the summer, they were busy, tired and a little lacking
